Floyd had always dealt with chronic migraines, and this sudden, brutal blow was too much for his aging body to take.

After hitting Floyd with the vase, Wendy’s hands shook. The vase shattered on the floor, and she stumbled back.

But when she met Jensen’s cold eyes, fear washed over her.

“I called an ambulance. It’ll be here in ten minutes at the earliest. The restaurant has an on-site medical team, and I’ve already contacted them,” Jensen said in a low tone.
