Chris flinched for a moment but wasn’t scared. After all, he thought Cassia was just an ordinary high school student.

“But don’t be afraid. There’s no one else here. As long as you do what I say, I guarantee you can stay in this school until graduation. And I’ll announce to the whole school that you didn’t break the piano.”

But Cassia couldn’t even be bothered to spare him another glance. She turned and walked toward the office door.

Chris’s face turned purple with rage.

Cassia acted like she hadn’t heard a thing, hands in her pockets as she kept walking.

“What the hell! Didn’t you hear me?” Chris shot up from his seat and hurried after Cassia, his gaze dropping to the girl’s slender waist.

Something stirred in him. Thinking with his lower half, he reached his pudgy hand toward Cassia’s slim waist.

A sharp, cold glint flashed in Cassia’s narrowed eyes. She sidestepped with lightning–fast reflexes.

In one swift motion, she grabbed Chris’s sleeve and flipped him over her shoulder, tossing him like a bag of trash.

Chris slammed hard into the door and went flying out along with it.

Crash! He landed in the hallway.

The deafening noise drew a crowd of onlookers, especially students from the honors class, whose classroom was closest.

When word reached Cassia’s advanced class, they rushed over almost immediately to see the commotion.

“Holy crap! Cassia’s got some serious balls! She actually hit Mr. Nash?”

“That’s nothing! Yesterday at the Arwing Piano Club, she lost her temper over a few words and kicked over a ten–million–dollar piano!”
