Chapter 199 A Jacket Over Her Shoulders
“Enough.” Cassia didn’t want to hear any more of Brie’s nonsense.

Since Brie had said that, they must have prepared thoroughly in advance. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have dared to say it.
At this point, even bringing the nurse over wouldn’t help with anything.
Cassia looked at Brie and Danica, who seemed to be gloating, and released Danica’s hand with a cold laugh. “So you just want me to compete and make a fool of myself? Fine. I’ll do it. But don’t come crying about it to me later!”
With that, Cassia turned and walked away without looking back.
She left the teachers and students standing there in stunned silence.
Danica twisted her wrist, which was a little sore from Cassia’s grip, and muttered under her breath in annoyance. “Please. You’re the one who’s going to embarrass herself! What do I have to regret?”
Brie watched Cassia’s retreating figure and mulled over what she had just said.
What did Cassia mean by that? From the sound of it, she actually thought she could win?
But Brie figured that was impossible. She had lived with Cassia for so long and had never once seen her practice volleyball.
It wasn’t until Cassia was out of sight that Lilian frantically spoke up. “What is this nonsense! This isn’t Zrario! Even if you’re upset, you can’t just run off! Brie, go bring Cassia back right now!”
By the time Cassia left the group, the sky had already turned to dusk.
It was dinnertime.
Cassia remembered that Cubresh was famous for its street food, so she decided to skip the cafeteria–style meal at the hotel tonight.
The beds at the school–booked hotel were rock hard, and the service was terrible. Staying there was anything but comfortable.

She had her own villa here in Cubresh. So, she might as well just sleep there tonight.

With that plan in mind, Cassia pulled out her phone, opened the map app, and searched for nearby food streets.
“Going to grab dinner?” A low, husky voice came from behind her.
Cassia turned around.
The man’s devastatingly handsome face suddenly entered her line of sight.
His brows were like distant mountains, and beneath his sharp nose were tightly pressed pale lips.
He wore a green short–sleeved tropical shirt with vivid palm tree prints splashed across it, looking almost lifelike.
Underneath was a plain white cotton tank top, and he had on fitted gray athletic shorts.
A pair of sunglasses was pushed up on his forehead, with a few stray strands of hair escaping from beneath them, adding a touch of carefree dishevelment.
His casual beach vacation look wasn’t flashy at all. Instead, it was effortlessly cool and laid–back.
“What are you doing here?” Cassia took a few extra glances at Draven, whose style was slightly different from his usual look. Her mood lifted a little.
“Escaping the cold,” Draven said casually.
“What a coincidence.”
“Yeah.”
Cassia glanced at the car parked by the roadside. “Heading back to the villa?”
“Mm. Want to come over to my place?” Draven walked to the car and opened the door.
“Sure.”
Cassia got in without any hesitation.
Having company sounded nice that night. Why not?
Draven gripped the steering wheel, feeling pleased.

“I’ll cook tonight.”
Cassia raised an eyebrow, looking mildly surprised. “You can cook?”
She had just been wondering what to do for dinner.
“A little,” Draven said. “What do you feel like eating?”

Cassia was intrigued.
After all, men who could cook were a dying breed.
“I’m in the mood for pasta.”
“How about creamy tomato beef pasta?”
As Draven said this, he made a mental note to improve his cooking skills when he had time. That way, their future together would be even better.
“Sounds good.”
Cassia liked experimenting with different ingredients in her free time. Her natural talent for cooking, combined with years of practice, had made her increasingly skilled. Her dishes had become so delicious that she had ended up spoiling her own palate.
But she was willing to give Draven’s cooking a try.
“Huh?” Brie came running out and spotted the Volkswagen that was worth maybe 20,000 dollars from that night, along with that teacher who looked like he had stepped out of a painting.
“Was that… Cassia who just got in the car?”
Brie frowned.
At this hour, they were probably going to get dinner.
