Chapter 314 You Can’t Go In
“Ah, I get it now! You mean we’re just here to watch the drama unfold and snack on gossip, right?”
Draven really wanted to tell the truth. When he said “just watching” earlier, that was all he meant.

Brie and Danica had been asking around since last night. It wasn’t until this morning that they finally found out the national team was staying at Lennox Hotel.
But the moment they reached the entrance, security stopped them.
“Sorry, you can’t come in.”
“Why not?” Danica asked, confused. They hadn’t done anything wrong or offended the hotel owner. Why were they being stopped?
The guard replied, “Our boss said no one from the Woods is allowed inside.”
That was a direct, name–calling ban.
Brie thought that was outright discrimination.
Wait, didn’t Dad say Cassia is friends with the hotel owner?
So they treat us like trash, but they’re tight with Cassia?
Is this owner sick in the head?
The national team was staying here. With their tiny network, they had no way to get the players‘ contacts. If they wanted to approach the team, their only option was to get into the hotel.
Brie really didn’t want to depend on Cassia, but she couldn’t think of any other way right now.
Damn it…
After cursing Cassia in her mind, Brie quickly fixed her expression, stepped forward, and told the guard, “We’re Cassia’s sisters. You know her, right? She knows your boss.”
“That’s right!” Danica immediately got what Brie meant.
It was annoying, but if it meant getting into the Lennox Hotel, they could let that bumpkin have her moment.
They believed a mere guard wouldn’t dare block them after hearing that.
Unexpectedly, the guard didn’t even flinch.
“My boss said no one from the Woods is allowed. Please leave.”
No one from the Woods?
There had to be a reason. Maybe Cassia fought with the hotel owner?

And now, the hotel refused to take anyone from the Woods because of her?
That would make sense, but it was going way too far.
Seeing Danica about to force her way in, Brie quickly grabbed her to stop her from acting rashly.
They were just high school girls. If things escalated, it would be troublesome and humiliating.

Standing near the entrance, Danica fumed, “This is way too much! That bumpkin got into a fight with the hotel owner. What does that have to do with us?!”
“Exactly. The owner is really unreasonable.” Brie frowned too.
Though her words sounded like she was blaming the hotel owner, anyone listening closely would hear another meaning beneath them.
Brie was clearly pinning the blame on Cassia, convinced that she was the reason they had been turned away and treated poorly by the Lennox Hotel.
“So what now? How are we supposed to meet the national team?” Danica asked anxiously.
Brie said, “It’s fine. If we can’t get in here, we’ll meet them at the sports center. They have a match this afternoon. Talking to them before the game is enough.”
Hearing that, Danica finally relaxed.
They decided to head straight to the sports center.
Just as they were about to flag a car down, Danica glanced back at the hotel entrance.
She froze instantly.
“What’s wrong?”
Brie was waving to get a ride. Seeing Danica zoning out, she followed her gaze and froze as well.
Cassia was walking straight into the Lennox Hotel.
“Cassia? What’s she doing here?”
“No idea,” Danica guessed. “Probably to see the owner. They must’ve fought, and now she’s rushing to apologize!”
“But even we weren’t allowed in. Won’t she just get kicked out, too?”
They were sure the guard would throw her out–just like how the nurse had chased them from the ward yesterday in complete embarrassment.
They were ready to enjoy the show.
