Chapter 319 Infuriating
Cassia had won the volleyball championship right in front of everyone.
After that, nobody could say she was useless anymore.

Vance never imagined Cassia had such talent. She’d never played competitively before, yet her first match ended with her taking the championship.
And she’d done it while injured.
Injured and still won.
It left the Woods completely stunned.
Even Victoria had to admit Cassia had real skill. When she saw the news about her victory on TV, she just froze, her feelings all tangled up.
“Dad, we should bring Cassia back. Before, when she hadn’t done anything, it didn’t matter much. But now she has won a championship and gotten famous. The media has been going crazy trying to find her. If people find out we kicked out a volleyball champion, it’ll look awful…” Aspen said, frustrated by reporters constantly blocking him on his way to work.
At first, he could dodge their questions. But whenever they asked about meeting Cassia, he got stuck.
Some people guessed she wasn’t living at Wood Manor, but Aspen couldn’t admit it.
He could only sidestep questions and leave when he saw a chance.
He thought the hype would die down, but things didn’t turn out the way he expected.
Reporters kept cornering him, asking where Cassia was and why the Woods were keeping her
away.
It started seriously affecting his work and life.
Everyone knew Cassia was the Woods‘ eldest daughter. If they couldn’t find her, the only option was to go after her family.
“Aspen, you’ve also been swarmed by reporters, right?”
Danica went on, “Brie and I have the same problem. We haven’t even dared leave campus. The moment we step out, they swarm us. It’s so annoying!”

All that attention was because of Cassia. She’d won and become famous. Seeing the crowd of reporters only made them furious.
It was infuriating.
Vance, however, saw it as the perfect chance to boost the family’s reputation and climb even higher.
He only regretted discovering her talent so late.
Still, he blamed Cassia too. Why did she only show her volleyball talent now? What had she been doing all this time?
“Aspen, you’re right. It’s been long enough. We should-”
Vance suddenly paused, remembering what he’d once told Cassia.
He’d sworn he’d make her struggle to survive on her own, so she’d end up crying and begging to come back. Only then would she finally admit her mistakes and learn her lesson.
If he let her back now, it would be humiliating.
But if other people found out she was renting a place on her own while the family didn’t even give her money to live, that would be even worse.
Vance felt his face heat up with embarrassment.
After gritting his teeth and struggling internally for a long while, he finally told Aspen, “Go to Zrario High tomorrow and bring her back. Tell her I’m letting her return.”
Getting embarrassed now was still better than letting it all blow up later and making things way
worse.
“Once she’s back, send her straight to the training camp. Try to turn her into a national–level player.”
Aspen nodded. “Okay. I’ll do it.”
At the mention of the training camp, Victoria spoke up again, “I’m worried she won’t want to go.”
“What do you mean?” Vance asked.
“I’ve seen her registration card for a volleyball training camp. At first, I thought she was finally getting serious, and I actually felt a little happy.”
