“Trust me,” Cassia said calmly. “The psychologist we brought in this morning couldn’t even get close to Danica. Right now, I’m the only one she’ll let check on her.”
She wasn’t lying.
Geneva looked at her daughter. There was a determined look in Cassia’s eyes.
Since Danica wasn’t freaking out with Cassia nearby, maybe this was the only way. “Okay.”
Geneva nodded, opened the door, and stepped out.
“What’s going on?” Vance asked, annoyed that Geneva had been kicked out too.
“Cassia wants to hypnotize Danica.”
“Hypnotize? Isn’t that something only psychologists know how to do? Can she even do it?”
Vance wasn’t a psychologist, but he knew enough to understand that a lot of them used hypnosis to dig into a patient’s subconscious and find the real problem.
Geneva looked at him seriously. “She told us to trust her.”
She also felt it was worth a try.
Vance looked into the room. Cassia sat in a chair beside the bed, her back to them, slowly moving a pencil back and forth in front of Danica’s eyes.
It kind of looked legit.
But she wasn’t a psychologist. How could she know how to hypnotize anyone?
“This is ridiculous!” Vance snapped, striding back to the door and twisting the handle open.
“Wait, honey! They said you should never interrupt someone during hypnosis. It can mess with their nerves,” Geneva said quickly, grabbing Vance’s hand.
“You really believe that girl can hypnotize anyone?” Vance scoffed and kept pushing the door open.
The door was already cracked open, and the tip of his shoe was inside the room.

Chapter 356 I Can Treat Her
Geneva held onto his hand. “But Danica is only calm around Cassia right now. What if she really is doing it? Just to be safe, let’s wait until she’s finished.”
“Danica and that kid can’t even stand each other. What if she uses this chance to get revenge on Danica? Who’s taking responsibility then?” Even if Cassia knew what she was doing, Vance didn’t trust her with Danica.
“Danica is her sister. Cassia is fair; she wouldn’t hurt her.”
“Hmph. It better be like you say. If Danica gets worse, I won’t let her off!”
Geneva finally talked him out of it, and Vance shut the door.
After checking Danica’s condition, Cassia frowned.
She opened the door and stepped out.
“How is she?” Geneva asked.
“To be honest, it’s really bad,” Cassia said, brows tightly knit. “I just hypnotized her, and I found out she has very strong suicidal thoughts.”
Even worse than Sterling.
“You need someone watching her 24/7. If you look away for one second, she might…”
She didn’t even need to finish the sentence.
Cassia thought for a second, then added, “I can stay here for now and give her some therapy.”
“You’re going to give Danica therapy?”
Vance felt like this was the biggest joke ever.
Let Cassia–who wasn’t even a psychologist–treat Danica?
Either Cassia was out of her mind, or he was.
Cassia ignored his sarcasm and kept talking to Geneva, “Also, spend more time with her when you can. Take her out for walks. Don’t let her stay locked in her room all day.”
As she spoke, Cassia took some sedatives out of her bag.
