Kaleb looked at Cassia. She glanced at him like he was an idiot. She didn’t spare him another look. Cassia reached out and grabbed the door handle of the Volkswagen, ready to open it.

This was completely outside Kaleb’s plan. He panicked. “I like you!” he blurted out.
