Cassia’s rubbing against Draven was driving him crazy. If he hadn’t caught her in time, she would have slipped right out of his arms.
Seven had driven them there. In this remote town, there were no cameras and no one cared about drunk driving, but Draven still didn’t want to risk driving back like that.
The Scott Villa was about 200 feet from the Scenic Villa. Draven carried Cassia in a bridal carry position the entire way back on foot.
But even the longest road came to an end. No matter how much Draven wished to slow things down, they eventually reached the door of Villa 520.
Draven carried Cassia into her room first, gently placing her on the bed and tucking her in.
He set the AC to a comfortable temperature, locked the doors and windows, and quietly slipped out.
After leaving Villa 520, he had Vance help carry seven–who was completely passed out- back to his own room.
Once they were done, Draven and Vance made their way to the living room.
“Youngsters like you really do have great stamina. You carried a girl that far without even breaking a sweat… If it were me, I’d have lost track of how many breaks I needed. I probably wouldn’t have made it until dawn,” Vance said as he rubbed his sore arms and shoulders.
Draven gave a faint smile. His expression remained calm, but there was a clear warmth in his
eyes.
He had carried Cassia the entire distance without pausing once, yet he didn’t feel tired at all. Instead, he felt the road had been too short–he had not held her long enough!
Once everything was settled, Vance left.
After seeing him off, Draven went back to his own room and fell asleep.
The next day, Cassia didn’t wake up until late in the morning.
She slowly opened her eyes and stared blankly a the ceiling above her.
She remembered getting drunk again the night before. She had planned to walk back on her own, but Draven had stepped in to support her.

They had known each other for so long, yet it felt like she had been relying on him more and more lately.
Cassia picked up the phone by her bed. It was already 11:00 AM.
Knock, knock, knock.
Someone was at the door.
Cassia slipped on her slippers, got out of bed, walked into the living room, and opened the door.
Draven and Seven were standing outside with their luggage.
“Ms. Wood, did you sleep well?” Seven greeted her with a grin, raising his hand in a casual wave. “Are you packed? We’re heading back to Zario today. Sacha and the others will be here soon.”
“I only have a couple of things to pack. It won’t take long.”
Cassia invited them inside to sit while she went to pack her things.
In less than ten minutes, Cassia had her bags really.
At the same time, over at the Scott Villa, Rosalie and Sacha had already gotten into the Lincoln limousine before reaching out to Cassia
Worried she might still be asleep, Rosalie called to let her know they were heading over to the Scenic Villa.
Cassia picked up the call and said, “You guys go ahead. I’m taking my boyfriend’s car back.”
Hearing that, Rosalie paused for a moment before it clicked.
Oh, right, she has a boyfriend. Of course she would ride with him.
It would be strange if she didn’t.
“All right then, Cassia. See you in Zrario.”
After ending the call, Cassia turned her head and saw Draven rubbing his chin, staring at her like he had just witnessed something entertaining.
He probably hadn’t expected her to say those words so naturally.

“If we’re going to play the part, we have to do it right. It would look odd if a couple rode in separate cars for no reason,” Cassia explained.
“You’re very thorough.”
Draven nodded calmly, but inside, his heart lifted at the way she said “my boyfriend.”
Seven had stepped out earlier to retrieve Draven’s car from Scott Villa, so he missed the scene. Otherwise, he definitely would have made a sarcastic comment.
Draven sat with Cassia in the villa to wait for Seven.
The two sat in comfortable silence.
Soon, the sound of an engine came from outside, and Cassia knew Seven had returned with the car.
She picked up her luggage and walked out of Villa 520 with Draven.
Draven opened the rear door for her like a gentleman. After making sure she was seated properly, he walked around to the other side and slid into the seat beside her.
The car moved forward steadily along the bumpy, unfinished road.
“Man, this road is way easier to drive without those two idiots around,” Seven muttered as he held the steering wheel.
Cassia sat in the back, chatting with Richard through encrypted messages.
He wrote, “Boss, we got rid of Hugo and fixed the issue with the missing plants at the plantation. But I don’t know what spooked Nathan; he’s hiding at home and won’t come out, I’ll stay in Chesthale Peak for a few days. I’ll let you know as soon as I catch him.”
“Got it.”
After replying briefly, Cassia set her phone aside leaned back, and closed her eyes to rest.
The car swayed gently, feeling almost like a carriage–it was so comfortable it made her drowsy.
Draven noticed that Cassia’s eyes were shut, as if she had fallen asleep. Her arms were crossed over her chest, her head leaning against the door and her shoulders were slightly hunched inward.
