But none of that caught her attention.
It hadn’t before, and now she cared even less.

Relying on memory, Cassia headed toward Blackwater’s training room, where three team members were gathered together.
“Captain, what did you just say? You’re telling me that when you went out for breakfast, you saw Urban’s girlfriend going into a hotel with Cyclone’s captain?”
Ernest had been in the middle of practice. The moment Isaiah came back and dropped that bombshell, he jumped straight out of his chair, completely forgetting about the game.
The other teammates were just as stunned, their mouths hanging open.
“Captain, are you sure you didn’t see wrong?”
“Yeah, yeah, what if they just happened to walk into the hotel at the same time?”
“Or maybe they had some other reason for going in,
not…you
know…”
“I wish I’d seen it wrong too, but I watched them walk out arm in arm. The looks on their faces were sweet as hell. You think that looks like a coincidence? You think that looks like…” Isaiah didn’t finish. The rest of his words were swallowed by a
eavy sigh.
What Isaiah meant was obvious without him saying
Ashley and Ernest paused for a second.
Wild Jpg Stawhispering among themselves, voices
This was way too hard to accept. overlapping in a rush of shock.
“Shh…keep it down. Urban’s still in the training room. If he hears this, you can kiss the comeback match goodbye!”
Isaiah quickly motioned for silence and pointed toward the door beside them.
That was Urban’s room.
The RE Club was massive. As a commercial enterprise under the Grey Group, it was the largest e–sports club in the world. It housed more than 50 teams, each with its own dedicated training room, fully equipped with advanced gear, and every member even had a private room for living and practice.

“Oh, right!” The team members immediately covered their mouths.
The room fell silent in an instant.

Isaiah kept his eyes on Urban’s door for a long while. Only after confirming there was no movement inside did he finally breathe out in relief.
Good thing Urban always kept his door shut. If he found out that the team they were about to face had stolen his girlfriend…
“Sigh…” Isaiah ran a hand through his hair, his head pounding.
Urban was deeply devoted to his girlfriend.
Once, she’d casually mentioned, “I really want that prime rib they only sell at 5 a.m.” Urban had trained until 3 a.m., slept just two hours, then dragged himself out of bed, stood in line for over three hours, bought the rib, and delivered it right to her doorstep.
Now, first thing in the morning, they’d received Cyclone’s challenge, and their captain had stolen Urban’s girlfriend…
This was beyond humiliating! If Urban found out, forget today’s match with Cyclone–even an official match would be impossible for him to focus on.
Damn it, Cyclone really played dirty this time. Steal our ace player’s girlfriend, humiliate him, throw off his performance, and drag down the entire Blackwater team in the process.
They are clearly trying to crush Blackwater completely.
Isaiah decided that since they’d already accepted the challenge, they needed to focus on preparing for the match. As for the truth about Urban’s girlfriend cheating on him, they’d keep it from him at least until after the
oming rematch.
Just as Isaiah was thinking this, Urban walked out of his room, waving his phone with a confident grin.
“Cyclone’s done for today! Obscura’s already in rastin and on the way to the club. They think we’re going to lose? Yeah, right. Let’s see how they handle getting kicked out of the Abyss tournament!”
Hearing this, everyone lit up with excitement.
“Seriously? That’s amazing!”
“I’ve been sick of Cyclone for a while now. Finally, we get to crush them. Today, we’re wiping the floor with them!”

But the excitement only lasted a moment. Soon, all three of them fell quiet again, worry replacing the smiles on their faces, their thoughts clearly elsewhere instead of on “Obscura.
“What’s wrong? You’re not happy that a pro’s coming to help us take them on?”
Urban noticed right away that his three teammates had been huddled together whispering like they were plotting something huge.
“By the way, what were you guys talking about just now? Why so secretive?”
Urban walked over to his station, pulled out his chair, and sat down, looking straight at them.
Captain Isaiah quickly shot the other two a look. They immediately shut up and lowered their heads, not daring to meet Urban’s eyes.
Isaiah handed Urban a bottle of Sprite, forcing a casual smile. “Nothing. We were just going over the match strategy. Here, have a drink!”
The moment Urban saw Isaiah’s reaction, he knew something was being hidden from him.
If he couldn’t even tell that much, then all those years calling Isaiah his buddy would’ve meant nothing.
“Captain, whatever it is, don’t keep it from me. We’re buddies. Why all the secrecy?” Urban said bluntly, ignoring the soda.
