Manny let out a mocking chuckle. “What’s so hateful about Dale? He’s your biological father.”

“What biological father? I’m not acknowledging a man that heartless and ungrateful,” Tessa countered.

Besides, he wasn’t really her father anyway. Even if he were, she wouldn’t claim him. It simply wasn’t an option.

Hearing this, Manny looked slightly surprised. “You don’t want to acknowledge him?”

“He’s just as hateful as your mother.”

Manny: “You-”

“Back then, my mother and Dan’s mother were both just pawns Dale used to protect your mom,” Tessa continued. “Dale is a complete scumbag. In the name of protecting your mother, he destroyed two other women simultaneously.”

Tessa laid out the crimes of Artemis and Dale. At the same time, she was showing Manny exactly who he should truly hate.
