As it turned out, Elara's advice worked wonders.

Zane made sure to stretch the foreplay to the absolute limit before he finally entered her. Within a few thrusts, she shattered completely.

It caught him entirely off guard.

Zane had only ever been with one woman before—his ex-wife.

In the early days of their marriage, they bickered constantly, which he chalked up to them just not clicking.

Later, when things smoothed out emotionally, he found himself struggling physically because she required him to last much longer.

When he couldn't keep up, he turned to the pills.

Zane caught Elara by her soft waist, a teasing smile on his lips. "Ms. Vance, you're making me feel like an absolute powerhouse right now."

Elara was too embarrassed to point out that Julian's stamina hadn't been much longer than this.

"Zane, I think my fingers and toes are turning into prunes."

Chuckling, Zane kept a firm arm around her waist and rinsed her off one last time.

Once they were tangled together in bed, a wave of guilt washed over Zane. He hated the idea that a woman had to accommodate his shortcomings in bed.

"I'm going to book an appointment with a specialist tomorrow," Zane declared.

"Honestly, I think you're already doing great," Elara said gently. "But getting checked out is a good idea. At the very least, it'll stop you from taking random medication."

Zane grinned and leaned in to kiss her. "How did that mouth of yours get so sweet?"

"Stop it. Let's go to sleep," Elara scolded softly, her face flushed.

Zane propped himself up, staring down at her. Bathed in the afterglow, she looked more breathtaking than ever.

She was the quintessential heiress—refined, elegant, and perfectly proper. Even in bed, she usually maintained a quiet grace.

But the other day in the bathtub, she had spoken so dirty just to encourage him. The memory sent a jolt of pure adoration through him, and he pulled her fiercely against his chest.

"I knew you liked me."

Elara pushed against his chest playfully. "Where did that come from? Lie down and go to sleep."

Zane nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck. "Come with me tomorrow."

"No way. You're going to a specialist. Wouldn't you be embarrassed?"
