Aside from visiting him on set a few times before, this was Winter’s first time accompanying William to work.
Watching William sit in front of the vanity while his team did his hair and makeup felt surprisingly interesting.
In the mirror, William met Winter’s fixed stare. His throat moved with some difficulty.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
The stylists working on William were all part of his own team, and Winter knew everyone in the room.
When they heard him, they all laughed.
Winter had never bothered to hold back around William. She always said exactly what she thought.
“With a face like that right in front of me, you can’t really blame me.” Winter sat down beside him casually.
Then she propped her chin on one hand and studied William’s flawless face up close.
“Honestly, makeup barely does anything for you. It doesn’t even bring out how good your bone structure is.”
The makeup artist nodded in agreement. “You’re right. William’s bone structure is too perfect. You won’t find another face like his in the industry.”
“Maybe not in entertainment, but there is someone outside the industry!” a young woman on the team said seriously. “Chris Xander’s bone structure is just as perfect as William’s. I saw photos of him online before, and wow. That face would work in any era, modern or historical.”
William’s agent turned around. “You mean the chairman of Xander Corporation?”
The young woman nodded eagerly.
The agent sighed with meaningful regret. “What a shame. Someone with his kind of power and status would never go into entertainment. Otherwise, with that face and that height, he’d dominate the entire industry. If I could sign him too, I’d have two aces in my hand. No one could beat me.”
William pretended to glance casually at Winter. Seeing that her expression stayed calm, without the slightest reaction to the man they were talking about, he lightly kicked his agent’s chair.
“What, signing me wasn’t enough for you?”
“Of course it was enough! More than enough. I was just making a comparison. I’m getting old, so I like to daydream,” the agent quickly said, coaxing him.
After William’s styling was done, Winter looked at him in his black ski suit and clicked her tongue.
