The Second Chance Of The Rejected Moon

Chapter 151

ab your hep

My footsteps are slow, measured, and silent. She’s not pretending to be asleep. She’s fast asleep. Her breathing is slow and steady, but all I can see is her head resting on my mate’s chest and her hand intertwined with Bastian’s, as though that touch belonged to her by right. I feel the shift taking over me. My wolf’s energy pours through every corner of my body like a fire that can’t be stopped. My hands lengthen, my nails disappear as long, razor-sharp black claws emerge in their place, my muscles tighten, my bones crack beneath my skin as my body begins to grow, and a thick white coat, so pale if looks silver. beneath the moonlight, slowly covers every part of me.

“This is the right moment for us to fully shift for the first time.”

Astra’s voice echoes through my mind, deep and dark.

“I’m going to kill her for daring to touch what’s ours, for believing she has the right to sleep in our bed as though she were this kingdom’s Luna.”

“Celine, my child…”

Magnus’s hand closes around my wrist.

“Calm down.”

The King of Lemuria lifts his gaze until it meets mine. I slowly shake my head. I lower my eyes to the hand trying to stop me, then look back at him without saying a single word, letting him understand for himself the only thing I’m asking.

Let me go.

“Please… don’t do something reckless. She’s not just any wolf.”

A slow smile spreads across my lips. Magnus loosens his grip and takes a step back. I don’t know whether I just frightened him… or whether he realized that, right now, I don’t give a damn who Nadia is or what last name she carries. I keep walking toward the bed, and behind me I hear the door close with a soft click. My eyes settle once again on the woman sleeping beside my mate as though that place belonged to her. I reach out, grab a fistful of her hair, and yank with all my strength. By the time her eyes fly open, it’s already too late. I rip her away from Bastian’s arms and hurl her against the wall beside the fireplace with a violence I don’t even try to control.

The impact shakes the room.

Confusion gives way to desperation, then to fear, as she struggles to understand what’s happening. I don’t give her the chance. I walk over to her, seize her again, this time by the throat, and lift her off the floor as though she weighs nothing at

all.

“Did you enjoy your time pretending to be me, Nadia?” My claws sink into the skin of her neck, piercing it slowly without killing her. “Did you enjoy sleeping beside my mate?”

Her face turns red. She opens and closes her mouth, desperately trying to draw in air I refuse to let her have, and I bring my face so close to hers that we’re almost touching.

“You… ab… aban… abandoned… him…” she manages to gasp after I loosen my grip just enough to let her breathe.

Astra fights with everything she has to overpower my will. She wants to kill her. She wants to tear the life out of her with her own hands. But before I can tighten my grip around her throat again, an unbearable burning pain tears through my side. I lower my eyes on instinct and discover a dagger buried beneath my ribs. Nadia’s hand is still wrapped around the hilt as blood begins soaking both her skin and mine.

A dark smile, filled with satisfaction and hatred, slowly spreads across her face.

“Now… die.”

“Is that what you think?”

i let her go just as the bedroom door bursts open and Magnus and Vladimir rush inside after seeing blood spreading across the floor.

“You and your bastard will die, and he’ll be mine!” Nadia screams, completely out of her mind.

“She didn’t hurt us. Our pup is fine. Astra lets out a growl filled with relief that lasts only a heartbeat. “Kill her

You dared stab her? The Luna of this kingdom, Nadia?” Magnus’s voice is enough to make the very walls tremble.

I hear the rapid footsteps of Magnus and Vladimir rushing toward me, but I don’t care anymore. My hand closes around the dagger’s hilt, and I rip it free in one violent pull. A stream of hot blood pours over my belly and splashes onto the floor, vet the wound begins closing before everyone’s eyes with impossible speed. That single second is enough for Astra to shatter the last barrier between us and take complete control of my body. My arm moves by Astra’s will alone. It seizes Nadia by the throat once more, and my claws tear through her flesh with terrifying ease. Warm blood runs between my fingers as I lift her off the floor again. She’s still smiling. She still believes she can challenge me. She still thinks she has a chance.
