Chapter 67
“Ah!”

My fingers tangle in his hair, and I pull him closer to me. I cling to the only man who has truly seen me, the only one who knows my wounds, my fears, and has still chosen to stay.
Bastian pauses for a moment.
Tension sharpens his jaw as he studies my face, searching for any sign of pain, any indication that he has gone too far Hiy self-control seems alive and throbbing. He restrains himself, measuring his strength to adapt to me, even when his own nature seems to demand otherwise.
“Look at me. Look at me, Celine.”
I blink, still lost among the emotions and sensations threatening to sweep me away completely, until my eyes finally nee his.
A shaky, uneven sound escapes me.
“I’m okay… don’t stop.”
The pain of the broken barrier doesn’t even compare to the spasms that had tormented me only moments ago.
Bastian moves again, and this time his pace is more demanding, though without losing the gentleness and care that define him. Every movement feels like a silent conversation between our bodies, like a promise neither of us needs to express with
words.
The room becomes a blurred mixture of shadows and moonlight. Our ragged breathing blends with the soft brush of skin and the small gasps I am unable to suppress.
“Bastian… wait…”
The pressure rises again.
That terrifying and wonderful peak I am only beginning to understand.
Bastian feels it too.
His eyes darken, and with an intense expression, he changes the rhythm before firmly, but gently, trapping my hands above my head.
“Don’t fight it. Give it to me.”
“Yes.
I abandon any attempt to hold back.
The moan that escapes my throat makes Bastian hold his breath for a fraction of a second.
Something wilder struggles to break free inside him, pushing against the limits of the iron self-control he has maintained from the very beginning.
Bastian’s fangs lengthen slightly, and instead of rushing, he kisses my neck with unexpected tenderness before brushing my skin with them and gently licking it, as though he were still giving me one last chance to stop him.
But I don’t want to stop him.

The accumulated tension finally breaks.
My body arches, and a broken cry escapes my lips as I cling to his shoulders. My head sinks into the pillows as the brief. sharp pain of the bite blends with a strange sensation of warmth and belonging.
“Bastian!”
His breathing grows heavy. He remains above me for several seconds, trembling slightly, as though even for him that connection is too intense.
“That’s it, sweetheart… scream my name.” His voice comes out deep and husky as he lies down beside me, still catching his breath. “Because we’re not done yet.”
His fingers caress my cheek, and a small satisfied smile curves his lips.
“You still have to mark me.”
A few moments later, he lowers his head and delicately licks the small wound, slowly sealing it, as though that intimate gesture were just as important as the mark itself.
And, for the first time since everything began, Bastian’s gaze softens completely.
There is no possessiveness in his eyes.
Only a happiness so deep and so genuine that it nearly steals my breath.
As though, after a lifetime of waiting, he had finally found his home.
Bastian
I wake up at dawn to the deafening sound of lightning striking the castle. A fierce storm has broken out outside, and for several seconds I remain still, listening to the roar of the sky while the memories of the previous night return to my mind again and again.
At last.
She is completely mine.
I watch her, and an involuntary smile curves my lips as I pull her a little closer to me.
She is curled up against my body, her face resting on my chest. A faint blush colors her cheeks, making her look even more adorable. Her lips remain slightly parted, and her blonde hair is completely disheveled, giving her a wild and unique beauty that never ceases to fascinate me.
Celine Miller is, without a doubt, the most incredible woman I have ever known.
And thank the Goddess, she is mine.
My destined mate.
My sun.
My only weakness.
My fingers slowly caress her bare back as I gaze at the mark now adorning her neck, and a strange sense of peace settles within me.
