The Seduction of Jac Frost
A Room Change Part II
“Your parents were probably more concerned about the fact you were avoiding them than your room.”
“Or they’re assholes.” Rafferty snorted. “I’m finding the more time I spend around the Frost family, the more I understand why our grandmother hated the fuckers.”

Jacqueline giggled at the comment, “your grandmother is still alive?” She watched as the two men began pulling her suitcase open. “Hey, what are you doing?”
“Unpacking. We’re going to be here four weeks. You can’t live out of a suitcase.” Rafferty was throwing a handful of hangers on the bed and then the two men were making quick work of hanging up her items. Rafferty moved to her and shoved a pile of things in her hands.
She blushed furiously as she realized it was her
undergarments. “Oh my god.”

“Put them in the drawer there,” Wilder motioned to the
dresser. “I have the one on the left. Take the one on the right.”
“This is too much,” she was feeling freaked out.
“Okay,” Wilder grabbed the bottle of wine they’d taken from the lounge and dumped a healthy dose into a glass and dragged her back to the patio. He flicked a switch on the
little fire table, and he pushed her into the chair, put the wineglass in her hands, and kissed her forehead. “Drink the
wine. Relax. We will get everything put away. If you don’t
see us touching it, it won’t freak you out.” He paused, “do you
have a vibrator or anything in there you want us to avoid?”
“No!” she snapped at him. “Oh my god, Wilder!”
“You didn’t think of your needs when you were packing for this trip?”
“No.”
“Do you have a vibrator?”
“Yes.”
“Then why didn’t you bring it?” 2/6

“I was distracted by packing for the first trip I was ever taking in my
life and being surrounded by fairies.” She looked away, “and Rafferty can see me at any given time doing whatever.”
“Oh honey,” Wilder laughed lowly. “He would never violate your privacy like that. When you’re in your bed or in the bathroom, we wouldn’t use his gifts like that.” He kissed her forehead again and pointed to the sky, “enjoy the cold air. It will help you center and connect with your bloodline. We’ll
get things settled and come join you.”
“It’s weird.”
“No. It’s right. We are your mates. We are taking care of your
needs. Acts of service for our mate makes us feel useful and
needed. Let us do this. Do you want a blanket to cuddle in?
You don’t need it because you don’t get cold.”
She nodded at his offer of a blanket, feeling the need to be
wrapped up in something. She sat there on the patio staring at the people skiing down the mountain and breathing in the crisp air. She looked up when Rafferty came out with a thick fuzzy blanket and tucked it around her legs. Like Wilder, he paused to press a soft kiss to her forehead and tucked hair

behind her hair. Then he disappeared again.
The quiet murmuring of the two men working together in the other room felt soothing to her. She sipped her wine, relaxing more and more as the time passed. The more her skin felt
cold from the air around her as the sun set and the moon
rose, she was feeling more at peace.
After a while she noticed the chatting had ceased and she
looked up to find the two men leaning in the space of the open patio door watching her with smiles on their faces.
“You look content.”
“It’s weird, right?” she shook her head as the two of them
took the low seats on either side of her. “How do I feel so,” she
searched for the correct word, “right? I feel right.”
“Because” Rafferty tilted the bottle to refill her wine bottle,
“you are where your fae connects to their life source. The cold is important to northern fae, the same way warm is important to us. To reconnect to the land, we need time to
commune with nature if you will. It’s part of being fae. The other part is being with your mates, having your mates take
care of you and tend to you and make you feel their love for
you, is good for your balance. Fae are not meant to be 4/6

solitary creatures. We need our other halves, or in this case,
thirds.”
“It makes sense, I guess.” She took a breath, “why then when I’m around my parents do I feel angsty? Forget Jack and Jacinta but my parents set me on edge.”
Wilder shook his head, “actually, if you think of the first day with Jack in the office, you didn’t feel angsty with him. You felt
secure. Even when he locked you in that block of ice, you felt
safe and secure with him. It was only from their later actions
which makes you feel off. I think, there is a lot to what Bar
noted.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean I agree with him that you’re protecting yourself by casting a spell of some kind on yourself. You might not be aware of doing it or how you’re doing it but,” Wilder shrugged, “if you’re soul and your essence are craving the connection with your kin but you’re shutting it down. because they hurt you, your body is at odds with itself. You are warring with your spirit. It’s causing that uncomfortable feeling.”
“I hadn’t thought of it that way.”

“For your own peace of mind and to harness this feeling,” Wilder waved at her, “you need to find a way to not let them bother you. I know it’s hard, especially when they’ve been such complete assholes, but you’ll need to find a way to let it go.”
“Easier said than done.”
“Agreed. So, in the meantime, we’re going to be here, with you, holding your hand, feeding you good wine and making sure you get the connection to the nature around you that your mind and spirit needs while you settle into being fae.” Rafferty said seriously.
A feeling of warmth bloomed in her chest, and she let her hands reached her hands out to touch theirs and smiled as
the zing traveled up her arms. “I like that plan.”
“Good. So, then let’s just sit here, enjoy the night, drink our
wine, and breathe in the winter.”
Jacqueline thought nothing sounded better to her.
