Jacqueline looked at the woman who joined the group with

no hesitation at all.

“What do you want?” River snarled at her.

“I want to talk to my sister. Alone.”

“Yeah, not in a million fucking years,” Bar’s voice was deeper

than usual and Jacqueline realized it was a mix of his and his

beasts.

“So protective,” Wilder mocked him as he picked up on the same thing Jacqueline did.

“This is none of your business, shifter,” Jacinta snapped at

him.

“It is his business because he is her mate,” River took great delight in revealing the detail to Jacinta whose mouth

opened and closed as her face took on an odd color of white

before slowly turning blue.

“Uh, I think Jacinta you need to take a breath. I can’t tell if you’re blue because you can’t breathe and it’s an oxygen,.

then tilted his head to one side as if getting a vision of his

Jack is with Aspen right now and he’s telling her that he needs to talk to you and get your side but you’re not even there.” Rafferty leaned forward, “what were you hoping to do, Jacinta? “Good luck trying,” Jacqueline smirked from her position. “Were you not paying attention, Jacinta? I’m not only your sister, but I am also superior to you in every single way possible. “She has no powers. Go ahead, Jacinta. Try to use any power you have. You can’t even teleport now. Who did you force to bring you here?” Jacqueline held up her fingers and then looked at River, “she has a maid in her room. Can you have her returned back to the Northern castle? She was following orders of the princess and is very confused.”

“I have nothing to be sorry for. You can’t prove I was the one who did anything.”

“But I can,” Jacqueline said seriously. “I can prove it. Do you think the Queen Mother made her daughter unable to defend herself? Don’t be silly, Jacinta.”

“If you’re so powerful, talk to me alone.”

Jacqueline ignored the protests of the group. “River, please do as I asked and get the poor housekeeper back. She was told to stay in the room and not come out. Jacinta threatened her. Wilder and Rafferty, can you get your parents and also

reach out to Jack and see if they’re interested in joining our snowman building competition? Bar, I was thinking that

maybe we could do our little competition in your yard where the boys were fighting. It’s away from the crowds and I can

even make it, so we get a bit of a snow squall tonight, so nobody goes venturing out into the woods.”

“You can make a squall that big?” Bar asked curiously.

“Yeah. I could make a blizzard if I wanted. I can make it a

snowstorm the likes this town has never seen and bury the town over the roofs. I don’t want to see anyone hurt though so we’ll just make it blustery and cold.” She looked up at him from the sofa, “can you make sure there is nobody in the area around the cabin before we start?”

“I can do that. Are you sure you trust her alone with you?”

“I don’t trust her at all, but I didn’t leave the realm of Mother without being capable of handling any fae in any realm.” She rose from the sofa, and the twins rose with her. She placed kisses to each of their cheeks and then she kissed Bar’s cheek. “I will be with you all soon. Please. Trust me.”

her wrist, froze Jacinta’s hand with the knife in it.

“There, now you won’t drop it when you try to kill me. Do you really think this is going to endear you to the Frost family?”

“You should be in the temple begging forgiveness. You’re losing yourself in your anger.”

Jacinta lunged at her again and this time, Jacqueline froze

her entire arm to the shoulder, keeping it from being able to

move at all.

“How are you doing that?” she screamed at Jacqueline.

Jacqueline laughed at her, “do you know why I asked my family if they wanted to do a snow creature competition? Because it’s in my blood. I can do this with my eyes closed.” She ducked away from Jacinta’s other hand and then froze it up in the air in the slapping position. “When the entire family come to me, it’s going to be with you as the starting sculpture.”

while you’re trapped in there, hearing everything, seeing everything, longing to be part of it, I want you to decide

whether you can truly clear your heart of the hate in your

heart.”

She knocked on the frozen casing surrounding Jacinta’s face,

“I know you can hear me in there. Chill out, relax and spend

the next little while deciding whether you want to be part of a family or relegated to a prison cell.”
