Chapter Two Hundred Forty
ou really want to go?”
Diana nodded.
“Yes.”

“Even though you are so close to giving birth? Even though we do not know why she wants to meet
you?”
Diana’s smile faded slightly.
“That is exactly why I want to go.”
Talon studied her for a long moment. Then he sighed.
“I still do not like it.”
“I know.”
“And I am not agreeing to anything until we speak with the healer.”
Diana opened her mouth. Talon immediately raised a finger.
“That is my condition.”
Diana frowned.
“Talon.”
“If the healer says traveling would put you or our pups at risk, we are not going.”
Diana considered his words. She knew he was worried. And despite her desire to attend the
meeting, she would never knowingly endanger their pups.
“Fine,” she finally agreed.
Talon looked surprised.
“Fine?”
“Yes. We will speak with the healer.”
He visibly relaxed.
“But if the healer says I am healthy enough to travel, you will come with me.”
Talon nodded.

“I will.”
“And you will not order me to stay behind while you meet her in my place.”
His lips twitched.
“I was considering that.”
“I know you were.”
Talon smiled. Diana gave him a warning look.
“Talon.”
“All right. I promise.”
She relaxed against him. For several moments, they simply stood together. Then Talon glanced toward the letter resting on his desk.
“When does she want to meet?”
Diana told him the appointed day and time. Talon’s expression became thoughtful.
Claim
The sender had been careful with every word in her letters. She had concealed the messages with magic, hidden her identity, and chosen a meeting place far from the territories of wolves and witches. Nothing about the invitation felt careless. And that made Diana even more curious.
Diana and Talon traveled to the human territory on the appointed day. Talon had wanted to object to the trip, but the healer had assured him that a day of traveling and a short meeting would not harm Diana or their pups, provided she did not overexert herself.
With no medical reason to keep her at Black Howler, Talon had reluctantly agreed to accompany
her.
The moment they arrived at the meeting place, Diana spotted a familiar woman standing a short distance away, holding a baby in her arms.
“Ravenna,” Diana whispered.
Tears immediately filled her eyes. She had wondered for months whether she would ever see the White Witch again. Now, here she was, standing before her with her child safely nestled in her
arms.
Diana walked toward her as quickly as her heavily pregnant body allowed.
“Ravenna!”

Ravenna turned at the sound of her voice. A warm smile spread across her face.
“Diana!”
Claver
The two women embraced carefully, mindful of Diana’s large pregnant belly and the baby Ravenna
was holding.
“It is so good to see you,” Diana said, her voice trembling with emotion.
“You too,” Ravenna replied softly.
When they finally pulled apart, Ravenna looked down at the baby in her arms.
“Diana, look. This is my son, Damien.”
She gently adjusted the blanket around the little boy, allowing Diana to see his face. Diana’s expression softened immediately.
“Oh, Ravenna. He is beautiful.”
Damien was sleeping peacefully, completely unaware of the attention he was receiving. His tiny fingers were curled against his chest, and his cheeks were round and soft.
Diana smiled as she reached out to gently touch his cheek. The moment her fingertips made contact with his skin, Artemis suddenly stirred inside her mind.
“Magic.”
Diana froze.
“What?”
“Powerful magic,” Artemis continued, her voice filled with surprise.
Diana stared at the sleeping child.
“His magic is stronger than Ravenna’s.”
Diana’s heart skipped a beat.

“And stronger than Thorne’s.”
Diana gasped and immediately pulled her hand away. She looked at Ravenna in shock. Ravenna’s smile slowly faded.
“You felt it?”
Diana nodded.
“Artemis felt it?”

“Yes.”
Ravenna glanced down at her son before looking back at Diana.
Clair
“What is that?” Diana asked quietly. “His magic is so strong. Artemis said it is stronger than yours
and Thorne’s.”
Ravenna sighed.
“That is part of what I wanted to discuss with you.”
She gently rocked Damien in her arms.
“Our son was born with an extraordinary amount of magical power. Even now, while he is still so young, it takes nearly all of my strength to conceal his aura and prevent his magic from being
detected.”
Diana looked at the sleeping baby again.
“He isn’t even a year old.”
“I know.”
“And he already has that much power?”
Ravenna nodded.
She turned slightly and looked at Thorne, who had been standing quietly behind her. Thorne stepped closer, his gaze immediately settling on his mate and their son.
“The magic that once belonged to his father and me…” Ravenna paused, gently brushing her fingers over Damien’s cheek. “It seems our son has taken it all for himself.”
She smiled affectionately.
“Greedy little thing.”
Despite the seriousness of their conversation, Diana could not help smiling at the tenderness in Ravenna’s voice. Thorne reached out and gently touched his son’s tiny hand. Damien stirred in his sleep, his fingers instinctively curling around his father’s.
For a brief moment, Diana watched the little family in silence. It was difficult to believe that the male standing before her was the same Black Witch who had once threatened the entire Royal Pack. Now, he stood quietly beside his mate, looking at their child with nothing but love in his eyes.
Diana turned back to Ravenna.
“How strong will Damien become?”

Ravenna’s smile slowly disappeared.
“We do not know.”
She looked down at her son.
“But we are certain that he will become stronger than either of us ever was.”
Diana frowned.
“Stronger than you and Thorne?”
“Yes.”
Ravenna hesitated before continuing.
“Possibly even stronger than our current Grand Witch.”
Diana’s eyes widened.
“Seraphina?”
Ravenna nodded.
“Even now, while Damien is still a baby, his magical aura is powerful enough to reveal our location.”
She adjusted the blanket around her son.
“If I stopped concealing his magic, even for a few seconds, our coven would be able to detect him almost immediately.”
Diana looked at the little boy in astonishment. Damien continued sleeping peacefully, completely unaware of the extraordinary power hidden within him.
“Ravenna, Diana said gently, “why did you ask me to come here?”
Ravenna became quiet. She glanced at Thorne. He gave her a small nod. When Ravenna turned back to Diana, the warmth in her expression had been replaced by concern.
“I wanted to warn you.”
Diana immediately tensed.
“Warn me about what?”
Ravenna took a deep breath.
“The curse disappeared from Thorne’s body, just as we hoped it would. And as I mentioned in my letter, he lost all his magical powers afterward.”

Diana nodded.
“But there is something else.”
Talon, who had remained silent during their conversation, stepped closer to Diana.
“What is it?” he asked.
Ravenna looked at Thorne again.
