Chapter 133
“Then go park it for me.”
Vivian exuded a lazy charm as she tossed the keys to him. “Be careful, though. I can’t afford
to pay for it if you scratch it.”
The guard glanced at the car.
It was just a Volkswagen. What was there to afford?
He really didn’t want to play valet, but looking at Vivian’s beautiful face, he found it impossible to say no.
Vivian smiled, thanked him, and headed upstairs.
Thanks to Simon’s heads-up, she breezed right into the CEO’s office.
“Miss Fairchild, Mr. Sterling is still in a meeting. You might have to wait a moment.”
Simon handed her a glass of water.
Meeting Vivian’s unreadable gaze, he felt a sudden pang of regret.
Would the boss be angry that he let her in so easily?
But then again, Silas never explicitly told him not to let her in.
As he was second-guessing his life choices, the conference room doors opened.
The top executives filed out, followed finally by the tall, commanding figure of Silas.
Simon braced himself and stepped forward, whispering, “Mr. Sterling, Miss Fairchild is here to have lunch with you.”
Silas immediately frowned.
“You let her up?”
.” What was he supposed to say?
Simon put on a miserable expression. “She sent you a message, you didn’t reply, so she came looking for me.”
Silas raised the folder in his hand, looking ready to smack him with it. Simon quickly stammered, “Boss, wait! She’s the future lady of the house! I couldn’t just ignore her orders!”
Just as he finished speaking, his eyes darted toward the office door.
Vivian stood there, looking mysterious and radiant in a black dress. Her arms were crossed, like she was watching a good show.
Catching Simon’s gaze, she even arched an eyebrow.

Chapter 133
It was as if she were saying: Why stop? Keep going.
и
Simon quickly grabbed the folder from his boss’s hand and muttered, “Mr. Sterling, Miss Fairchild is here for you.”
Silas lifted his head, his dark eyes locking onto Vivian.
“Lunch?”
“Well, yeah. Don’t you eat?”
Vivian flashed a brilliant smile, taking two steps forward to loop her arm through his. Her eyes sparkled. “I’ve already booked a table. I’m treating you to something delicious, okay?”
Her reflection danced in the depths of his dark eyes. She looked stunning, like a masterpiece brought to life.
Silas stared at her for two seconds before speaking. “Let go.”
He clearly didn’t care if she actually let go, because the very next second, he started walking toward the elevator.
Vivian and Simon exchanged a look.
One held their hands up, the other shrugged.
At least he didn’t refuse the lunch date. For the great Silas Sterling, that was practically a
monumental blessing.
They took the elevator down together, but Vivian stepped out first.
“Take your time, I’ll go get the car.”
