The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 142

Chapter 142

That blatant seduction in her eyes was like a drug, intoxicating and lethal.

A sudden, fierce heat coiled low in Silas’s stomach.

The corners of Vivian’s lips curled up slightly. Her free hand slowly trailed over, slipping through the gap in his shirt to trace his abs.

“So tense.”

“You’re nervous.”

She whispered in his ear, like a siren intent on devouring a man’s soul. “Since you’re already feeling it, why hold back? We’re legally married anyway, it’s only right.”

With that, her soft lips pressed against his jawline.

Unrushed, every seemingly playful movement was executed to absolute perfection.

The darkness in Silas’s eyes intensified, like a rolling wave of heat threatening to boil over. Finally surrendering to his desires, he tipped her chin up and kissed her.

The woman’s lips were softer than he had imagined, carrying an intoxicating scent.

She must have brushed her teeth; there was a sweet, fruity fragrance to her.

A moment later.

She… parted her lips slightly.

The temperature in the room skyrocketed, the atmosphere thickening into the ultimate state of electric intimacy.

The slip dress on Vivian’s body clung by a thread.

Her long hair tangled with the man’s unbuttoned shirt.

Falling back.

Crashing onto the bed.

She wrapped her arms securely around his neck,

Just as their breathing spiraled out of control, the phone in Silas’s pocket began to ring. He instinctively tried to pull back, but the woman instantly yanked him right back down.

“Ignore it.”

Chapter 142

“Don’t answer it,” she murmured against his lips, her voice dripping with sheer temptation.

“Kiss me.”

Silas’s eyes burned with a scorching fire. He didn’t stop her advances, but he reached down and pulled out his phone.

Vivian glanced at the screen-

Grace.

*Tsk.*

Just the name echoing in her mind was enough to ruin her mood.

Grace. How ironic.

If that woman was supposedly full of grace, Vivian was determined to be his absolute ruin.

She reached out, snatched the phone, and rejected the call entirely.

“Ignore it, okay? Silas… I want you.”

Her voice held a fragmented tenderness, utterly irresistible.

Silas’s gaze darkened instantly. He cupped the back of her head and kissed her deeply once more. This time, it wasn’t a superficial kiss; it was fueled by heavy, primal hunger.

Vivian felt as if all the oxygen had been sucked from her lungs. Stripped of all strength, she could only cling to his broad shoulders, letting the intoxicating taste of him brand her lips, her skin, her very soul.

A spark igniting gasoline.

Just as Vivian was lost in the delirious haze of passion, the man abruptly pushed off her and

sat up.

Breathing heavily, he pulled her hiked-up nightgown back into place. “Get up and tidy yourself,” his voice was raspy and low. “We’re going downstairs for dinner.”

In the blink of an eye, his cold, composed demeanor returned, making him seem like an entirely different person from a moment ago.

Vivian stared blankly as he took his phone and walked out onto the balcony, stunned into

silence.
