Chapter 149
Vivian was operating entirely on the assumption that Silas was blind. If he actually could see, taking her clothes off might not have been such a simple move.
She casually tossed her nightgown aside and went back to brushing her teeth.
In the spotless glass mirror, the reflection of the woman’s pale, luminous skin was perfectly captured.
Wearing nothing but her underwear, her hourglass waist was impossibly slender. Higher up… her stunning curves were on full display, leading to delicate collarbones and a graceful neck, her long hair cascading down carelessly.
The scene looked like an exquisite masterpiece of art, framed within the square borders of
the mirror.
The man’s eyes grew profoundly dark, so intense they looked as though they could drip ink.
As Vivian brushed her teeth, she would occasionally flick her eyes up to look at him.
She didn’t say a word.
Then, a moment later, she glanced at him again.
Silas rinsed his mouth, his face an mask of pure ice, and turned to walk out.
He had barely taken a single step before the woman threw her arms around his waist from behind. Her toothbrush was still dangling from her mouth, a cloud of foam around her lips.
She mumbled incoherently, “You’re not going to wait for me?”
”
Silas looked down at the arms locked around his midsection, his voice hoarse. “How old are
you? You still need me to wait for you?”
“I’m eighteen.”
“1 ”
Absolute nonsense not even worth a reply.
Vivian pressed herself flush against his back. Through the thin layer of his clothing, their body heat quickly transferred back and forth. Silas could distinctly feel the rising and falling contours of her body.
“Let go.”
“Oh.”
She released him with one arm to keep brushing her teeth, but her other arm remained firmly

strapped across his stomach.
Terrified he might run off, she kept leaning her head around to check on him with those wide, watery eyes.
“Don’t leave without me.”
“Let me just rinse my mouth… wait for me!”
Silas’s jaw had remained entirely locked in tension. He squeezed his eyes shut tightly, then opened them again. The metallic trim on the door ahead reflected the woman’s frantic silhouette-every flustered frame as beautiful as a scene straight out of a movie.
A second later, she spun around and came bouncing toward him.
Unable to endure it a second longer, he stepped forward to leave.
“Hey! I said wait for me!”
Over by the wardrobe.
For convenience, Silas kept a large selection of formal wear here as well. Vivian picked out two shirts, holding them up against his chest to evaluate.
“This color isn’t quite right, makes you look too stiff… Let’s go with this one. This one makes you look hot.”
It was a meticulously tailored black dress shirt, structured and mysterious.
With that decided, she draped the shirt over her arm and reached out to unbutton his loungewear.
She had barely brushed against him before the man seized her wrist in a vice grip.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
“Isn’t it obvious? I’m helping you change.” Vivian’s eyes danced with amusement. She leaned
in just a fraction, close enough to brush against his jaw. “Or were you hoping I’d do something else first?”
He looked down. “Do you possess any sense of shame whatsoever? Hmm?”
“If you don’t want me to, then I won’t. So stingy.”
Silas ground his back teeth together and snatched the clothes right out of her hands. “Look
at yourself! Put some clothes on and get out!”
