The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 161

Chapter 161

The private club wasn’t particularly famous, but it belonged to the expensive and highly exclusive tier.

Walking through the entrance, the dim lighting created an atmosphere of endless imagination, and the female staff were stunning, dressed in tight, hip-hugging skirts.

The receptionist led them to the private room and said respectfully, “Ms. Fairchild, Mr. Fowler is right inside. Please.”

Seeing her about to leave, Vivian called out, “Wait.”

“Is there anything else you need, Ms. Fairchild?”

“Is this place strictly members-only?”

The waitress didn’t understand the sudden question but answered according to protocol. “Yes, all guests are required to pay a membership fee to dine here.”

Vivian feigned realization. “So everyone who comes here is a VIP? No wonder there was a security check at the door.”

The waitress smiled politely. “Is there anything else, ma’am?”

“No, that’s all. Thank you.”

Once the staff member left, Vivian leaned in and whispered in Zoe’s ear. “Find an excuse to slip out later and see where their back door is.”

Zoe paused. “Boss, do you mean…”

“So we have an escape route after I hit him.”

Seeing that she wasn’t joking, Zoe gave a firm nod. “Understood.”

Entering the private room, they found Harrison alone.

The moment he saw Vivian, his eyes lit up. He immediately stood with a broad smile and extended his hand. “I knew Ms. Fairchild was an outstanding executive, but I never expected you to be this beautiful. No wonder you’re so hard to book.”

Vivian offered a polite smile and shook his hand. The man’s grip was aggressively tight, and if she hadn’t used a clever maneuver, it would have been difficult to pull away.

“You’re too kind, Harry,” she said smoothly. “I’m not hard to book at all. You’re just a very busy

man.”

“You do realize, right?”

Chapter 161

Harrison adjusted his collar. “This is the third time I’ve asked you out.”

He had long heard that the female boss of Astra Media was a mysterious beauty. Since they had business to discuss, Harrison had been curious about her for quite a while.

Vivian let out a soft sound of surprise, her expression flawless.

“That must be my staff mishandling things. I’ll have to dock their pay when I get back.”

“Haha, it’s not that serious. Good things take time, right? And look, I finally get to see you today.”

A predatory gleam flashed in Harrison’s eyes. “It just shows we have a special/connection”

“You’re absolutely right, Harry. Shall we… chat over dinner?”

“Yes, yes, of course… Server, bring out the food!”

Vivian discreetly shot Zoe a look, signaling her to play it by ear.

Harrison wasn’t exactly ugly. His features were decent, but he had a deeply tanned complexion and tried too hard to pull off a trendy look, sporting multiple studs in his ears.

Today, he wore a casual white blazer over an obnoxiously loud. burgundy shirt.

He wore no tie, leaving his collar wide open.
