Chapter 163
The back door of the private club usually served as a fire exit, so there was hardly anyone around.
Vivian and Zoe slipped out together, Vivian rubbing her aching wrist as they walked.
“Boss, you don’t think that guy… is going to be in serious trouble, do you?”
“I called an ambulance.”
Thinking of how disgusting the man had been, Zoe scoffed. “If we weren’t trying to avoid legal drama, we should have just left him there to rot. It would stop him from preying on anyone else!”
Vivian cast an amused glance at her.
“You think we aren’t already in trouble?”
“But don’t worry about it.” She shook out her hands, her eyes catching the glow of the night lights. “We have Mr. Sterling. He’s our financial backer right now.”
Back at Southpark Villa.
A familiar car was parked in the driveway. Vivian glanced inside and saw a familiar silhouette sitting in the dining room.
She turned off the engine and got out.
She had to admit, driving the old man’s luxury sedan was incredibly smooth.
The moment she walked through the door, Mrs. Gable offered to serve dinner. Vivian smiled gratefully. “We can manage, Mrs. Gable. You should get some rest.”
Mrs. Gable’s gaze swept over her two employers. Seeing that Mr. Sterling didn’t object, she simply nodded. “Then I’ll clean up tomorrow morning. Enjoy your meal.”
Soon, Vivian and Silas were the only ones left in the dining room.
She changed into something comfortable and gasped at the spread on the table.
“Mrs. Gable is amazing. You didn’t have to wait for me, you know. You could have eaten.”
The man cast a sidelong glance at her but didn’t say a word.
It was obvious he hadn’t been waiting specifically for her.
Vivian didn’t mind. However, just as she picked up her silverware, Silas’s phone rang.
He held it to his ear for about a minute before hanging up.
His dark gaze shot toward Vivian like a blade.

Chapter 163
“Where were you tonight?”
“A business dinner.”
Vivian’s expression remained calm as she placed some salad onto her plate.
During the dinner, she had been so busy dodging that scumbag Fowler that she had barely taken two bites. Combined with the wine, her stomach was burning.
Silas’s face darkened. He stared at her, and two seconds later, he spoke. “After you eat, you’re coming with me.”
“Where to?”
Vivian smiled radiantly, leaning a little closer to him. “Taking me on a date?”
The man slammed his hand onto the table, the veins on the back of his hand bulging. He seemed completely furious.
Vivian pouted and sat up straight, dropping the playful act.
“What is it? I’m exhausted, I don’t want to go anywhere.”
“Shouldn’t you know exactly what you did?”
“Of course I don’t.”
Vivian gave him a wide, innocent look. “What did I do?”
“I hear your assistant is pretty tough. Apparently, she can beat a full-grown man so badly he can’t get out of bed.”
“She is. Zoe did martial arts back in college.”
