Chapter 295
Jonah pulled out his phone, finding Vivian’s number and running his thumb over the screen.
Before he could decide whether to call, the phone buzzed in his hand.
The name Amara flashed on the screen.
Jonah frowned, a fleeting spike of irritation hitting his chest. Still, he answered just before it went to voicemail. “Hello, Amara.”
He casually flipped through a document on his desk.
“I’m busy. Do you need something?”
“Jonah…”
Amara’s voice was sweet and slightly shy. “I finished my audition, and I’ve signed the contract you gave me. We should start shooting the commercial in a couple of days. Are you free? Could we grab dinner together?”
She had just become the spokesperson for one of Granger Corporation’s brands, tying her even
closer to Jonah.
By all accounts, it was a cause for celebration.
Jonah pinched the bridge of his nose, pausing before answering. “I’m a bit tied up. Let’s do it another time, alright?”
“You’ve been so busy lately…” Amara lowered her voice, sounding pitiful. “We haven’t eaten together in ages. Don’t you miss me? Or is this about my sister…”
“This has nothing to do with Vivian.”
Jonah’s tone frosted over. “Amara, coordinating your endorsement deal backed up a lot of my work. I’ll call you when I’m done.”
The moment Vivian was mentioned, his mood noticeably soured.
Amara gripped her phone tightly, forcing out a tiny sound of agreement.
“Okay. I’ll wait for you.”
The moment she hung up, it took every ounce of her willpower not to smash her phone against the
wall.
What kind of spell had Vivian cast on him? They were already broken up, yet he was obsessing over her day and night. Where was this devotion back then?
Amara sneered. She was going to expose Vivian’s true colors to Jonah, making sure he understood exactly who loved him the most!
After the call, Jonah tossed his phone onto his desk.
He didn’t know why, but lately, just hearing Amara’s voice gave him a headache.
He didn’t know how to reject her, yet he couldn’t force himself to stop caring about Vivian.

Chapter 295
Vivian… Vivian.
If she would just stay faithfully by his side like she used to, everything could be fixed.
He grabbed his phone again and dialed his assistant.
“Have someone keep an eye on Vivian for the next couple of days. The moment she leaves Silas’s side, let me know.”
“Yes, sir. Oh, by the way, Mr. Granger, when you had me look into Miss Fairchild last time, I found something else.”
“Spit it out.”
“Eight years ago, Miss Fairchild was also in California.”
“…What?”
Jonah’s pupils contracted slightly. “Are you saying that when Amara went to California for that dance competition, Vivian was there too?”
“Yes. It seems Miss Fairchild went there to beg Dominic not to abandon her in the UK, but she never
even got to see him.”
