Staring into his eyes, Vivian felt as if she had plummeted into a black abyss, utterly consumed by darkness and entirely trapped.

But today, he actually acknowledged it with a hum.

Before Vivian could say another word, the man next to her had already wiped his mouth and stood up, gazing down at her. “Think about it, and get ready.”

Watching him walk away, Vivian couldn’t shake the creeping suspicion that he had seen right through her little scheme. Otherwise, there was no way he would be acting this accommodating.

The second he sat back on the sofa, Vivian leaned in close and took a sniff.

“Did you brush your teeth?”

The lounge bathroom was fully stocked with fresh towels and toothbrushes for convenience.

She knew this man had a strict habit of brushing his teeth after every meal.

Silas lowered his gaze, his eyes completely wrapping around her.

Her face was as flawless as a painting, impossibly hard to forget.

“Yeah.” The sound vibrated from his chest, rich and magnetic. “Since you said I was delicious, I figured I should dress the part.”
