Dominic's gaze turned predatory and dark. He had to think of a way... Jonah could only belong to Amara. As for all the things that rebellious daughter had taken, she would have to spit them out sooner or later!
—
Upstairs, Vivian leaned lazily against the sofa, listening as Zoe finished her work report.
"Miss Fairchild, the show officially starts filming this week. Currently, Director Garrison is handling everything. I took a look... He still invited Grace Gifford for the first episode."
Vivian paused for a moment, then smiled.
"Let him invite whoever he wants. He just wants the ratings."
And Grace Gifford came with the built-in halo of a wealthy heiress. Even if she didn't naturally generate buzz, the Gifford family would buy it for her.
Since they had paid the money, capitalizing on her little bit of fame was only to be expected.
"Are you going to attend?"
Zoe looked at her. "If you are, I'll make the arrangements."
Vivian was quiet for a moment. "We'll see when the time comes. I might have other things to deal with."
Just as she finished speaking, two knocks sounded at the door, followed by the executive secretary's voice. "President Fairchild, Vice President Hunt, Mr. Granger is here."
Vivian knew he would come up. She waved a hand, signaling Zoe to step out.
She was actually quite curious to hear what other conditions this man wanted to negotiate with her.
Returning to her office chair, she sat down as the man walked in.
He closed the door behind him.
Vivian raised an eyebrow smoothly, asking in a mild tone, "Mr. Granger, finished chatting with your future father-in-law?"
"Vivian." Jonah naturally pulled out a chair and sat down, his expression carrying a hint of helplessness. "He is your father, which would make him my future father-in-law. If you don't even acknowledge him, then he's nobody to me."
Vivian was sick to death of hearing lines like that.
She reached up and scratched her head. "What kind of deal do you want to make? Spit it out."
But Jonah wasn't in a rush. His gaze swept around the office. "Where's the dog you're raising?"
"..."
Jonah's lips pressed into a hard line, his face finally turning cold.
He had been born into extreme privilege. No one had ever dared speak to him like that. His inherent pride far outweighed his emotional attachments—at least for now.
"I know whose whereabouts you've been looking into. Perhaps... I can help you." His tone became far more businesslike.
Vivian's eyes shot up, her gaze instantly turning sharp.
"Oh? You know who I'm looking for?"
"Is it that hard to figure out?"
Jonah met her eyes squarely, leaning back slightly in his chair, instantly radiating the commanding presence of someone at the very top.
"When I met you back then, you were searching the entire world for him. Even though you deliberately hid all the traces and had people helping you, if someone really wanted to dig, it wouldn't be impossible to find a few clues."
Watching the woman's face slowly drain of color, Jonah let a slow smile touch his lips. "You should know what kind of power the Granger Family wields. I am the only one who can help you."
