The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 515

Amara couldn't hide the toxic emotions brewing in her eyes, and Vivian didn't miss a single beat.

Shooting her a dark, sidelong glance, Vivian brushed her slender fingers over the steering wheel, her voice dropping to a dangerous pitch. "Hold on tight."

"—!!"

The second Amara clicked her seatbelt, the car shot out of the garage like an arrow released from a bow.

Her heart practically leaped out of her throat. She gripped the 'oh shit' handle for dear life, her voice trembling violently. "Why... why are you driving so fast?! There are so many cars out here! One mistake and we're dead! Are you out of your mind?!"

Vivian kept her eyes glued to the road, a wicked, reckless smirk curving her lips as the speedometer climbed higher and higher.

"What are you so scared of? If we crash, at least I'll have you joining me in hell. Not a bad trade."

"..." *Lunatic!*

Amara clamped her mouth shut, hyper-fixating on the road ahead and screaming anytime she thought they were getting too close to another vehicle.

By the time they arrived, the very first thing Amara did was scramble out of the car and violently throw up in a nearby planter.

Vivian frowned in disgust, standing several feet away.

"You can't even handle a little thrill, yet you try to play the scheming villain?"

Amara knew Vivian was insulting her. Once she finally caught her breath, she wiped her mouth and glared up. "It's just because that blind man has some money! Vivian... don't get too arrogant."

Vivian tilted her head and smiled. "Arrogance is arrogance, regardless of the bank account. And besides... Silas Sterling has a lot more than just 'some money.' He has more than you could ever comprehend."

"..." Amara's face went deathly pale. She was still too shaken by the ride to formulate a proper comeback.

But Vivian wasn't about to let her off the hook that easily. She took a slow step closer.

"By the way, if your precious father found out you were faking your heart condition this entire time, do you think he'd still love you the same way?"

Amara's eyes flickered with panic. "You... you're talking nonsense!"

"Sure I am."

Vivian gave a careless shrug and turned toward the restaurant entrance. "Lead the way."

Looking at Vivian's breathtakingly beautiful face, Amara couldn't deny the terror thumping in her chest. Her older sister always seemed to act on a whim, but Amara knew better. Vivian always had an underlying motive—one that no one could ever figure out.
