Chapter 85
Scarlett froze, her siren-like eyes staring straight at Vivian as if trying to peer right into her soul.
But no matter how hard she looked, Vivian remained perfectly composed.
She was completely unreadable.
She smacked her lips. “You like Silas?”
“I do.”
Why wouldn’t she?
“He’s the ultimate eligible bachelor, devastatingly handsome, has good character, and his personality perfectly aligns with mine. Tell me… could I possibly find anyone who suits me better?”
Scarlett shook her head. “No.”
“But there’s one thing I don’t get.”
Vivian asked, “What?”
“Where do you get your confidence from?”
Scarlett propped her chin on her hand, studying her like a piece of art. “Even with my status, I have to tread carefully around Silas. But you… no offense, but I looked into your background.”
“The Fairchilds of Southampton are middle-class at best compared to the Sterlings. You have zero leverage. What makes you think you can pull this off, hmm?”
Judging by her attitude yesterday, this woman genuinely seemed to care nothing for Silas’s
status.
And now she wanted to lock him down?
Just based on her face?
Scarlett couldn’t wrap her head around it, and it made her grit her teeth slightly.
“Based on my face.”
Scarlett was speechless.
She didn’t expect Vivian to actually say that to shut her up. Vivian twisted the ring on her index finger. “Besides, everyone wants a better life. You gotta have a dream, right? What if it actually comes true?”
Scarlett scoffed. “You make a weird amount of sense.”

“Of course.”
“Alright.”
Scarlett liked this kind of straightforwardness. All action, no hesitation.
“Silas isn’t invincible. You want to take him down… leave it to me.”
Vivian offered a half-smile. “And if you can’t?”
“You think I can’t?”
If she couldn’t win over his heart, she’d just secure his body first.
As long as there was an opening, combined with Vivian’s stunning looks, it was just a man
How hard could it be?
Scarlett crossed her arms and leaned back, giving off pure queen energy. “But don’t get your hopes up too high with him. From what I know, he’s not the type to be swayed by a pretty face. You’ve probably already experienced that.”
Vivian certainly had.
But that didn’t matter.
It just made the challenge more fun, didn’t it?
After dinner, Scarlett drove her over to Lounge One. She was a regular, and most of her acquaintances hung out there.
After getting out of the car, Vivian walked a couple of steps ahead, and Scarlett noticed a slight hitch in her step.
“You…”
“Old injury.”
The woman’s expression was indifferent. The dim lighting traced her features, and paired with her all-black outfit, she looked like a dark blossom thriving in the night, radiating an intense air of mystery.
Scarlett stared at her profile for a moment and silently cursed.
