Chapter 90
Chapter 90
Silas braced one hand against the wall and ran his fingers harshly back through his wet hair, revealing his sharp jawline and a gaze steeped in ruthless intensity.
He stood perfectly still as the water trailed down his jaw, past his Adam’s apple, rolling over his heavily muscled chest, and following the sharp V-line downward.
Through the hazy steam, his legs were planted, straight and powerful.
When Silas stepped out of the shower, he buttoned his shirt as he walked.
His hair was only towel-dried, droplets falling from the ends and landing on the fresh red scratches across his chest-a lingering testament to the fierce encounter they had just
shared.
The room was still pitch black. In the darkness, the faint silhouette of a woman could be seen lying face down on the bed, still in the same position as before.
Silas frowned slightly, displeased with the lingering scent in the air.
Relying on memory, he walked to the door. Just as his hand touched the knob, there was a click.
The lights flicked on.
Even though he was blind, he instinctively narrowed his eyes.
Vivian held the blanket up with one hand, her luminous collarbones and shoulders covered in marks. Her long hair cascaded to one side, radiating a post-coital, lazy beauty-vulnerable yet laced with calculating intent.
She said in a hoarse voice, “You just take me out of nowhere and then walk away?”
Silas stared in her direction. If no one mentioned it, not a single person would guess he had any issue with his sight.
His expression was completely composed. He paused for a moment before taking a step.
In two strides, he was at the edge of the bed.
His towering figure exuded an innate aristocratic arrogance. Just standing there, he commanded a suffocating amount of presence.
“I took you?”
His voice was gravelly, his gaze so indifferent it was almost contemptuous.
Vivian didn’t shrink back. Knowing he couldn’t see, she didn’t even bother pulling the blanket higher. “What else would you call it? Is that not what happened?”

Silas raised an eyebrow and actually laughed.
But it felt more like he was laughing at her sheer audacity and foolishness.
“Miss Fairchild.” He ran the tip of his crimson tongue over his teeth, his eyes dark and abyssal. “I may have been a little out of it, but my brain isn’t completely broken. Do you honestly think you can blackmail me with a few choice words?”
Blackmail?
Vivian actually thought the word was painfully accurate.
But there was no way she would admit it out loud.
She licked her lips and said, “You should have been able to tell… that was my first time.”
The man didn’t flinch. A hint of mockery even touched the corners of his eyes as he stated coolly, “Is that supposed to be special? It was mine, too. You hit the jackpot.”
She… hit the jackpot?
Vivian was so utterly shocked that she froze, watching helplessly as he walked out the door.
Even though she didn’t know exactly what method Scarlett had used, she was almost entirely sure that Silas knew she was the one who had set him up.
So, did she lose this battle?
