The Stolen Heiress: The Billionaires’ Little Star novel Chapter 38

The viewers lived for the drama, so they immediately switched over to Xavier's stream.

Xavier had just finished inventorying the items his people had bought.

"This won't work, she won't like it."

"This is ugly. Get something prettier."

...

After issuing a string of critiques, the young heir suddenly remembered something and asked the crew, "Did Daisy go pick mushrooms by herself?"

The staff replied, "She finished picking them."

"She didn't even wait for me," Xavier complained, but there wasn't a trace of genuine anger on his face.

Soon, another question popped into his mind: "She hasn't gone to sell them yet, has she?"

The staff said, "She hasn't had the time yet."

Satisfied, Xavier picked up his phone and started typing a text.

Julian came over to check on him, noticed what he was doing, and asked, "What are you up to?"

"Texting Quinn."

The moment he said that, not only the people in the hospital room, but even the audience was completely floored.

"You're texting Quinn?" Julian asked, utterly perplexed.

Xavier scoffed. "Yeah, that idiot better not ruin Daisy. I have to tell him to tag along when Daisy picks mushrooms, and he has to keep an eye on things when she sells them."

Julian paused for a moment. "He's not going to listen to you, is he?"

Xavier arched a sharp eyebrow. "He will definitely listen."

Chloe, standing behind Julian, was frantic.

Weren't Xavier and Quinn mortal enemies?

Why was he encouraging Quinn to treat Daisy well?

Julian saw through his son's intentions and asked, "Reverse psychology?"

Xavier kept typing, replying casually, "I don't need reverse psychology. Quinn takes first place every single year. Winning and losing are extremely important to him. He'd rather die than lose to me."

Julian stared at him and chuckled, deciding not to interfere with his son's actions at all.

After all, the heir to the Sterling empire needed to be someone who grasped human nature. And right now, he was doing a brilliant job!

Back in the village, Quinn and Daisy walked for nearly four hours, only arriving home after dark.

But Quinn never showed weakness, so he didn't reveal a hint of fatigue.

"Do I get to eat tonight?" Quinn asked Daisy.

Daisy hesitated. "Do you eat sweet potatoes?"
