Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 112 by Ansel Bick
After washing up, he sat back down.
"Are you still not leaving?" Bianca asked.
"I want to stay the night," Mathis said bluntly.
"No."
Bianca's immediate reaction was sheer panic. They were already separated; they couldn't afford a lapse in boundaries now.
More importantly, she couldn't let him find out she was pregnant.
Right now, she was wearing an oversized sleep shirt that concealed her figure. If he stayed, her secret would inevitably be exposed.
Mathis frowned, but he didn't look angry. His expression remained neutral.
He pushed the blind boxes across the table toward her. "Aren't you going to open them?"
Bianca loved blind boxes, but she hated anything bought by Mathis.
"Are you expecting me to jump for joy? I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you."
He stayed silent.
Expressionless, she began opening them. There was none of her usual excitement. She just wanted him to leave quickly, so she tore through all twenty-something boxes in record time.
She looked up. "There, I'm done. You saw me open them. Now you can leave."
Mathis looked at her and only said one thing. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight," Bianca replied.
Right before walking out, he suddenly turned and pulled Bianca into a hug. Startled, she immediately tried to struggle free. Mathis didn't force it; he let go, turned, and left.
She couldn't read his expression, but just seeing him standing there made her blood boil.
Feeling even more suffocated, she stepped back inside.
Xanthe Webber's name flashed on her phone. "Did Mathis agree to the divorce?"
Bianca was confused. "Why are you asking all of a sudden? Did something happen?"
"I just saw Cynthia Quinn's Fall Gala unboxing video," Xanthe explained in disgust. "Dozens of gifts, and she claimed Mathis bought all of them. She’s acting like Mathis is about to marry her, and the comments are full of people kissing her ass. It made me want to puke. I thought he was finally going to let you go, so I called to check."
Bianca let out a heavy sigh. "He's just an Oscar-worthy actor. He came over to my place for dinner earlier and brought me a pile of blind boxes."
She glanced at the toys on the table. They looked absolutely repulsive now. She was going to throw them all out.
Xanthe was shocked. "You're not actually thinking about forgiving him, are you?"
