Summary for Chapter 127: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 127 by Ansel Bick

By saying that, Bianca was making it crystal clear that she only saw him as a friend. Whatever kind of person his sister was had absolutely nothing to do with her.

She didn't care.

She had no intention of stepping into his life.

Bianca noticed his disappointment but didn't offer any comfort. She absolutely refused to give him false hope.

She was someone who would never set foot in the institution of marriage again.

One shattered marriage had drained far too much of her soul.

As Milo walked ahead of them, Xanthe stared at his broad back and clicked her tongue. "You're pretty ruthless, you know that? The guy is clearly heartbroken, and you won't even throw him a bone."

Bianca discreetly pointed to the sprawling estate around them. "Look at how much wealth this family has. Do you really think we're a match? In an unbalanced relationship, the weaker party is forced to keep their head down forever."

Xanthe disagreed. "Not everyone is a psycho like Mathis. Milo is clearly way more well-adjusted than that piece of trash."

"Psycho or not, it has nothing to do with me," Bianca replied smoothly. "You don't need to try and talk me into it anymore. I truly don't have the desire or the energy for it."

Xanthe felt incredibly sorry for them. They looked so perfect together; it was a shame things had to be this way.

As Xanthe continued to sigh heavily beside her, Bianca finally said, "Stop feeling sorry for us. Once I'm free, everything will be fine."

They followed Milo into the main hall of the manor. Lunch was already prepared. Cillian Calder's group, along with both sets of parents, had already arrived.

Marcus Wilder and Cillian had plenty to discuss, seamlessly transitioning from tech innovations to macroeconomic trends. The two of them bounced ideas off each other so naturally that no one else could even get a word in.

It was as if they were hosting a private economic summit right in the living room.

Milo leaned over to Bianca. "Do you enjoy this kind of stuff too?"

Karis froze, her face draining of color. The woman her son finally fell for was already married? She immediately pulled Milo into a private room.

"Why didn't you tell me Bianca was already married?" Karis demanded, looking furious. "I practically threw myself at her like she was my daughter-in-law! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?"

Milo knew his parents were traditional, but he hadn't expected Bianca to reject him so thoroughly that she would out herself to his mother just to draw the line.

"She's separated from her husband. They're getting a divorce."

Karis looked at her son as if he had lost his mind. He knew everything, yet he dove in headfirst anyway.

"Getting a divorce? That means she's still married! You absolutely cannot be the other man. It's completely unethical. And if word gets out, how are your father and I supposed to show our faces? You are the only heir to the Wilder family. You can't just do whatever you want."

Milo looked at her dead in the eye. "I'm serious about her. I will wait until she's divorced."

Karis felt like she was going to faint from sheer frustration. "Even if she's divorced, absolutely not! You cannot marry a divorced woman. Even if you don't care about your reputation, your father and I still care about ours!"
