Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 160 by Ansel Bick
Bianca was stunned. The competition he described had indeed happened exactly like that.
But she was totally bewildered. Frowning, she asked, "If you loved me so much, why did you kick everyone out and humiliate me on our wedding night?"
Mathis let out a bitter laugh. "I went to get our marriage license brimming with absolute joy. Right before we walked into city hall, I asked you a question. I asked if you would still be marrying me if you didn't desperately need the money for your mother's ICU bills.
You answered me with silence.
It felt like a knife to the chest. I knew you were only marrying me for my money.
But I couldn't bear to let you go, so we got the license anyway.
But the second we walked out, you secretly went to the bank and transferred three hundred thousand dollars straight to Jax.
Put yourself in my shoes. How would you have felt?"
He stared at her, breathing heavily, desperately hoping she would give him a different answer—anything to prove that she had felt even a fraction of love for him back then.
But Bianca had no intention of reconciling with him. She wasn't going to reveal her true feelings from the past.
"I did marry you for the money. I have no excuses for that. And yes, I cared more about Jax than I did about you."
Mathis ground his teeth so hard his jaw ached. She really had never loved him.
No longer caring if she was heartbroken or unwilling, he violently tore off her expensive gown and took her by force.
They hadn't been intimate in over half a year, and her body was an addiction he couldn't break.
"Bianca, let's start over."
"Keep dreaming. Go back to your precious Cynthia."
Bianca felt utterly humiliated. Afterward, she locked herself in the shower for nearly an hour.
Mathis was furious at her overt disgust. When she finally walked out, he demanded, "Does being with me really make you that sick? You didn't seem to mind when you were throwing yourself into bed with a random stranger!"
She had changed into a pair of oversized cartoon pajamas. She had never cared about showing off her figure; she only prioritized comfort.
I slap her, and you wage a holy war to avenge her. She literally murders my baby, and you protect her with your life.
Mathis, did I slaughter your entire family in a past life?"
Just mentioning her lost baby brought fresh tears to her eyes.
Mathis grabbed a tissue from the vanity and gently wiped her tears. "Stop crying. We'll have children in the future. I'll go down and get the medicine."
Bianca sneered internally. I will never have your child.
When he brought the pills back, she swallowed them immediately and climbed into bed.
Mathis didn't have pajamas, so he slipped under the covers in just his underwear, wrapping his arms tightly around her.
"I can't sleep with you clinging to me," she snapped, thoroughly annoyed.
His voice broke, sounding almost like a plea. "Can't you just look at me, even for a second?"
