Bianca smiled warmly. "Alright, thank you, Milo. You're always so considerate of me, I honestly feel bad."

Internally, Milo thought, *I want you to feel bad. It's a hell of a lot better than you not caring about your ex-husband. At least it means I'm on your mind.*

Out loud, he said, "My dad says you're practically a national treasure now. I'm more than happy to be of service, so there's nothing to feel bad about. When you went to see Professor Adler yesterday, they suddenly stopped blocking my game's publication numbers.

"That mutt Mathis used his connections to reprimand the low-level approver. The higher-ups chewed the guy out. If Mathis finds out, he'll be half-dead from anger."

Bringing this up reminded Bianca of Mathis's threats from the night before. She warned him, "You really shouldn't get too close to me. When Mathis loses his mind, there's no telling what he'll do.

"He said yesterday he'd go after Fiyato. I've looked into his major moves in the capital market, and he always wins flawlessly.

"Tell your dad to be careful. Mathis has deep pockets. If he maliciously short-sells Fiyato's stock, it'll be a nightmare to deal with."

She sighed heavily. "He's completely unhinged. I just don't know what to do with him."

Milo looked down at her, maintaining a breezy, unbothered expression. "Don't worry. If he touches Fiyato and pisses my dad off, we can take a swing at Dawnstar Capital right back. Mutually assured destruction. He isn't that stupid."

Hearing this put her slightly at ease.

"That's good, then. I won't worry."

Milo smiled down at her. "You really do care about me. I bet you actually like me a little bit, you're just too scared to admit it."

Bianca truly had no romantic feelings for him. She had once loved Mathis like a moth drawn to a flame.

But the moment she found out he cheated and had an illegitimate child, her heart died completely.

"You're overthinking it. I care about Cillian, too. I see you as a friend, nothing more."

Milo didn't buy it. He was convinced she was already making room for him in her heart.
