Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 218 by Ansel Bick
Her voice was incredibly gentle and warm, like a spring breeze brushing against the heart.
Aveline loved having her mommy feed her. Her little mouth chewed happily as she babbled, "Yummy, so yummy!"
Bianca occasionally exchanged a few lighthearted words with Jax. Jax, put off by Mathis's suffocating presence, kept things brief, feeling the man ruined the entire atmosphere.
Mathis tried to initiate conversation with Bianca several times, but she either interrupted him or shut him down completely.
Long after dinner was over, Mathis remained seated in the living room. Bianca completely ignored him, focusing only on holding Aveline and chatting with Jax.
She treated him exactly how he had treated her in public for years—like he didn't exist.
Eventually, Mathis swallowed his pride and broke the silence. "We need to talk about Aveline's custody."
Bianca asked Wilma and Jax to take Aveline downstairs to play. Jax looked hesitant, worried about leaving her alone with him, but Bianca insisted.
Once the apartment was empty, Mathis stared intently into her eyes for a full thirty seconds. While he felt entirely off-balance, Bianca's expression didn't so much as flicker.
It cemented his darkest fear: she truly didn't love him anymore.
"Tell Hector Goodwin to hold off on suing Cynthia. I promise I'll give you a satisfactory answer within two months."
Bianca lazily lifted her gaze, finding his demand downright laughable.
She pointed toward the dining table. "Last night, you swore to my face you wouldn't rescue that woman. Later, when our daughter needed you, you ignored my calls to go play the hero. If I ever believed a word out of your mouth again, I'd be an absolute idiot."
Mathis stiffly pulled a custody agreement from his briefcase. He was using Aveline as a bargaining chip.
If Bianca dropped the lawsuit, he would sign over full custody.
The paperwork stipulated he would only have visitation rights twice a week.
