Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 23 by Ansel Bick

Rosalind shot a glare at Bianca, who was wrapped securely in the blankets, and frowned. "Mathis, there's a cosplay convention tomorrow. I want Bianca to dress up as one of the characters. She has the right look for it."

Bianca had a striking face with delicate features and a straight, elegant nose.

Her luminous, pearl-like eyes tilted up slightly at the corners, giving her an unyielding intensity when she looked at someone. She could seem untouchable when she was cold, yet incredibly pure when she smiled.

But she hadn't smiled once tonight.

With her flawless features, she looked like she had stepped straight out of a comic book—she could pull off any costume perfectly.

Before Mathis could answer, Bianca flat-out rejected the idea. "I'm not going. I have plans tomorrow. And Rosalind, I suggest you get over yourself. Stop bothering me with your nonsense. Didn't you notice I blocked your number? None of you Jaggers have anything to do with me anymore."

Mathis's face darkened, his deep eyes turning unfathomable as he locked his gaze onto hers. "What are you doing tomorrow?"

"None of your business," Bianca replied bluntly.

Mathis frowned, a hint of anger bleeding into his voice. "Do I need to remind you that we are legally married? That you're still my responsibility?"

Bianca looked straight back at him, her lips curling into a mocking smirk. "What, does being married mean I'm your prisoner? You've kept me locked up in this marriage for three years, and that's enough. Where I go is my own freedom."

Tomorrow was Saturday, and she needed to go to the hospital to schedule her procedure. She had no time to entertain them. Rosalind had never once treated her with respect anyway.

Mathis's expression grew even more thunderous. He was a man who never tolerated being defied, yet tonight, Bianca was pushing back at every turn.

His eyes darkened dangerously. "Bianca, stop testing me. My patience has limits."

Mathis rolled off her, lying on his side, his chest heaving. He reached up with a long, elegant finger and wiped the blood from his mouth. "Weren't you the one who wanted a hundred million just to give me a child?" he mocked. "Why the sudden change of heart?"

Bianca was already out of bed, grabbing her clothes to leave.

"If you want to lose your mind, go find your mistress."

His narrow, mesmerizing eyes slid toward her. "Aren't you my woman?"

"Not anymore."

Bianca slammed the bathroom door shut behind her, quickly changing into her own clothes, ready to get the hell out of there.
