Summary for Chapter 249: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 249 by Ansel Bick

Bianca's immediate, bone-deep instinct regarding Mathis was pure distrust. She absolutely did not believe he would harbor any genuine intention of treating her illness.

It would be a miracle if he wasn't actively praying for her death.

As her mind marginally cleared, she forcefully shoved him away, her tone returning to a freezing, detached register.

"No need. I'll save myself."

Mathis's brow furrowed heavily. Her relentless, piercing rationality always left him incredibly frustrated. Couldn't she just lean into his arms and allow herself to be vulnerable for once?

He suddenly realized that Bianca had never once acted sweet or clingy with him. Even during the absolute best month of their marriage, she had maintained a quiet, underlying distance.

Mathis scowled. "If you're so damn good at saving yourself, how did you let your health deteriorate to this extreme?"

Bianca blatantly ignored the question and cut straight to the point. "Show me Aveline's medical records right now. I need to know exactly what condition she's in."

Mathis momentarily froze, unsure of how to navigate the trap. Standing just behind him, Zane discreetly shot him a meaningful look.

Mathis guided Bianca into his private office, with Zane closely trailing behind them. Jax, however, was firmly blocked at the door.

Zane quickly handed over a tablet, pulling up a highly detailed medical report in English for Bianca to review.

The report was actually generated on the fly by an advanced AI program Zane had managed just moments prior, knowing that a hastily forged Chinese document would be far too easy to tear apart.

For now, the illusion held.

Bianca scrutinized the screen before handing the tablet back to Zane. She turned her icy glare back to Mathis. "Send me her exact hospital admission date and the specialist's full flight itinerary. I will be verifying every detail."

Mathis raised an eyebrow. "You still don't trust me?"

"Your credibility is so shot, I wouldn't even trust you to hold my coffee," she replied coldly.

Deep down, however, she was desperately praying that he was lying and that Aveline was perfectly healthy.

Mathis sighed. "Fine. I'll send it all to you later."
