She just needed them to stop ostracizing Conrad.

Mathis glanced at Bianca sitting next to Cillian, feeling as if he had been transported back to when she was sixteen.

Twelve years had flown by. She was still obsessed with technology, but he was no longer that boy whose only focus was his studies.

Today, he controlled a vast empire of commercial resources, yet he couldn't grasp her heart.

He retracted his gaze and escorted Cynthia to their seats.

He found his assigned seat right next to Professor Adler. The professor immediately looked disgusted and swapped places with Cillian, loudly complaining that Stellaride's administrative team must have lost their minds to seat him next to Mathis.

Cillian chuckled, amused that the old man was still holding onto that grudge.

He quickly apologized, "I'm so sorry, Professor. I didn't realize you were still hung up on that. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again."

Cillian immediately messaged the administrative team, instructing them to seat Professor Adler and Mathis far apart at the evening banquet.

Shortly after, the conference officially began. The host made the opening announcements, and Cynthia confidently took the stage.

She naturally started off by boasting about Aeterna's recent achievements, subtly pivoting to praise her own brilliant leadership.

As her speech progressed, she began delving into the complex technical issues Aeterna was currently tackling.

Bianca silently counted down in her head: three, two, one.

The moment she hit one, the teleprompter on stage abruptly died.

It was completely intentional. She had planted a destructive program beforehand, designed to shut the system down the moment its voice recognition picked up Cynthia's specific technical keywords.

She wanted to personally rip off Cynthia's carefully constructed mask and expose her to everyone as an absolute fraud.

Just as expected, Cynthia instantly froze on stage.

Panicking, she looked down at Mathis for help. Mathis simply gave her a calm nod, reassuring her that everything was fine.

A wave of murmurs swept through the audience. Today's conference was being broadcast live across the internet. With Cynthia completely stuck, the host considered stepping in to smooth things over.
