Summary for Chapter 271: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 271 by Ansel Bick

She looked like a porcupine, covered head to toe in thumbtacks.

Mathis Jagger was horrified. The only person capable of something so ruthless was Bianca Baldwin. She had become completely unrecognizable in her thirst for revenge.

He sighed inwardly. If Bianca dared to pull off something this extreme, she had definitely planned an escape route.

She had fallen into his hands twice before. The first time, she lacked experience; the second time, it was purely due to his powerful connections.

This time, she must have considered every possible outcome.

If he hadn't arrived in time, Cynthia Quinn would have been dead or critically injured.

But he couldn't just not call the police, or else he wouldn't be able to explain it to the Quinn family.

Mathis took out his phone and made the call. The police arrived quickly, and he left Zane behind to handle the details.

"It's okay, it's okay. I'm here," Mathis comforted her softly.

Cynthia burst into tears. "Mathis, you can't let Bianca get away with this! She's tried to kill me over and over again!"

"I won't."

Mathis carried Cynthia into Jagger General Hospital. She had multiple soft tissue contusions, fractured ribs, and had been pierced by over fifty tacks.

As the doctor treated her wounds, she was drenched in cold sweat from the excruciating pain.

Mathis stayed by her side the entire time, while Cynthia's tears never stopped flowing.

After her wounds were treated, the police came to take her statement.

Through her tears, she sobbed, "It has to be Bianca! This isn't the first time she's tried to hurt me. You have to investigate her!"

Upon arriving at the scene, the police immediately checked the security footage. The person who had kicked Cynthia was completely covered in black clothing. Based on her build, she did look somewhat like Bianca.

But she was bundled up so tightly that it was impossible to identify her for sure.

The police were helpless. Mathis suggested, "You should check what Bianca was doing at the time of the incident. If she doesn't have an alibi, she's the prime suspect."

The officer, recognizing Mathis, replied politely, "Of course, Mr. Jagger. We'll look into it right away."

Meanwhile, back in the banquet hall, Bianca was in a terrible mood. Mathis had ruined her plans once again.
