Milo Wilder's mouth twitched. "It's not that Mathis Jagger is untouchable, but I'm afraid you won't be able to beat him. You'll be the one getting hurt."

Bianca Baldwin laughed heartily. "The trainer my assistant hired has an excellent resume. He said if I practice diligently, I can take Mathis down in three months."

She mimicked Mathis dropping dead and rolling his eyes, making Milo laugh.

She was glad she had trained; otherwise, she'd have been the one suffering last night.

Those two women would have beaten her to death, and even if she died, Mathis wouldn't have cared.

He would have even helped cover up their crimes.

Milo smiled and gave her a thumbs-up.

"I'll take you to the boxing gym in a bit, and I'll go with you to pick out an evening gown for tonight. Of course, if you don't want to wear a gown, your usual clothes are fine too."

Bianca knew wealthy families took engagement parties seriously. She didn't want to be disrespectful, so she nodded in agreement.

Milo leaned over and kissed her cheek. He smiled and said, "Bianca, you always accommodate my requests."

Bianca smiled back. "You never force me, always asking my opinion. If I rejected you for no reason, I'd be ungrateful."

Ever since she decided to be with Milo, she felt much lighter.

Being with Mathis was like having dark clouds looming overhead, but being with Milo had been joyous and relaxing from the day they met.

People naturally seek out the good and avoid the bad. Since she could choose a simple, happy life, why stubbornly try to please a man who never valued her?

At the boxing gym, Milo also got a trainer and sweat it out for an hour.

Yonah Lomax noticed Bianca wasn't just blindly venting today but actually following his techniques. He curiously asked what had happened.

Bianca briefly explained that she had been attacked by two women yesterday, successfully fought back, and sent them to the hospital.

Yonah bluntly said, "It's not that you're amazing; those two were just weak. Watch out for them trying to extort you."

Yonah's fees were high; he knew Bianca wasn't short on money for medical bills. He analyzed, "Paying a settlement is fine, but what if they have other motives?"

Bianca thought to herself that Neville Quinn was already scheming for Stellaride Computing's shares.

Beatrice Bancroft used to play the loving mother, but when push came to shove, she put her own interests first.

A thought suddenly flashed in Bianca's mind: it would be good to make trouble for Beatrice. As long as the Quinns were miserable, she was happy.

After training, the two got in the car.
