Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 309 by Ansel Bick
Mathis gritted his teeth, "You'll regret this." As he spoke, a cold gleam flashed in his eyes. Bianca had never seen such extreme fury from him before.
Milo was unfazed. "Regret my foot! As long as I can be with Bianca, I'm not afraid of anything."
Mathis didn't say another word and stormed off.
Inside the room, Bianca felt uneasy. She was terrified Milo would get hurt again because of her.
She urged Milo to be extremely careful.
Bianca said, "Mathis has been swimming with sharks in the capital markets since he was twenty. His methods are terrifying.
Milo, I don't want you getting hurt again because of me, or I'd never find peace for the rest of my life."
Milo reached out and took Bianca's hand, joking, "Dying under a peony flower makes even a ghost romantic. If it means you remember me forever, I could die with a smile."
Bianca lightly swatted him, scolding him for saying such unlucky things. She didn't want him to die; she wanted to grow old with him.
Hearing this, Milo's expression turned serious. "Okay, I'll protect both of us until the day you marry me."
When he said this, Cillian Calder and the other three walked in to visit him and heard it all.
Xanthe Webber wished she could set off fireworks in the hospital corridor to celebrate. She grabbed Bianca and said she had finally opened her eyes and accepted Milo.
"Milo is ten thousand times better than that mutt Mathis. He hasn't taken his eyes off you once."
Bianca's face and ears flushed red, and she stayed silent. Milo, always thick-skinned, told them to get their big wedding gifts ready for the reception.
Cillian jokingly beat his chest, pretending to mourn the loss of his beloved general.
Milo said that even if Bianca became his wife, she would continue the career she loved. He wasn't petty enough to lock his wife up at home.
Hearing him say this, Bianca knew he was taking a jab at Mathis.
Mathis had kept her locked up at home as a housewife for three years. Those three years were too painful to look back on, but fortunately, the past had scattered in the wind.
She was about to be divorced and wouldn't have to face that darkness and pain anymore.
The group chatted in the hospital room for a while. Simon Jennings was vaguely worried that Mathis would sabotage their relationship, and told Milo to be careful.
"Mathis has been intensely obsessive since childhood. I'm afraid he'll come after you."
This was the second time Milo had heard this today, and he took it to heart. He realized that letting Mathis into the hospital room earlier was a slip-up on his part.
He immediately called Marcus to send over more bodyguards.
Cillian told Bianca to take a few days off and take good care of Milo in the hospital.
