Summary for Chapter 319: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 319 by Ansel Bick

She had never been good at comforting men. Whenever Mathis got angry in the past, she would just wait for him to process it on his own before talking to him.

When Mathis raged at her, she chose silence, believing it was golden.

Sometimes, they would give each other the silent treatment for an entire week.

But the moment Milo saw Bianca walk in completely unharmed, he completely ignored the wounds on his back, jumped out of bed, and pulled her into a tight embrace.

"You scared me to death," he breathed, his voice laced with frantic relief and deep concern. "Thank God you're back."

He didn't interrogate her about what she had been doing all night. Once again, Bianca felt the sheer depth of Milo's goodness.

He trusted her unconditionally.

She sank into his warmth, a heat that seemed to seep into her very bones and thaw her out completely.

Being with Mathis was nothing but suffocating darkness and pressure.

Wrapping her arms around his lean waist, she asked tentatively, "Are you mad that I stayed out all night?"

Her cautious tone made Milo chuckle. It was wild to think that the usually calm, intensely rational Bianca Baldwin acted like this in a relationship.

He had tossed and turned all night, terrified that Mathis would do something to hurt her, or worse, that she would be drawn back to him.

Mathis was her first love, after all.

But seeing her standing safely in his arms made him realize that nothing else mattered as long as she was okay.

Milo gently pulled back and kissed her, his lips hungry and consuming. The kiss was deep and lingering, and Bianca melted right into it, kissing him back with equal fervor.

Under his intense affection, a soft blush bloomed across her cheeks, making her look as vibrant as a blooming red rose.

Thrilled by her response, he pulled back and smiled. "Knowing I'm in your heart is all that matters. If someone crosses you, I'll direct my anger at them. I'd never take it out on you."

Not wanting to keep any secrets that might fester between them, Bianca laid everything out, detailing exactly what had happened over the last twenty-four hours.

Milo was completely shocked, though a smug sense of victory quickly set in. "So Mathis told you everything, and you still chose me. That means he's officially out of the game."

She nodded. "I'm someone who looks forward. Once I chose you, I wasn't going to turn back. He cut me too deep. Even if I hadn't gotten together with you, I would never have gone back to him."

A gentle spring breeze seemed to sweep through Milo's heart, leaving him absolutely ecstatic.

His thin lips curved into a wide grin, his thick brows and striking eyes alight with pure joy. Even his cheeks seemed to be smiling.
