Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 331 by Ansel Bick
"You're full of it," Payton scoffed. "If you actually liked Bianca, you wouldn't have kept her locked away like a pet for three years. You never took her anywhere and treated her like a maid."
Mathis despised it when people brought up the past. He snapped at Payton, "Shut up. If you keep running your mouth like this, don't ever bother hanging out with me again.
Did you really think I didn't know you and Cynthia almost hooked up the night I got drunk?"
Payton's face drained of color. Mathis had known everything all along.
His voice trembled as he stammered, "I wasn't after her, you have to let me explain. I just had a little too much to drink that night, and honestly, I thought she was a decent person. She complained to me about how moody you were, so I just kept her company for a while.
Besides, nothing actually happened, right?"
Annelise had been by Cynthia's side that night, acting as Mathis's informant.
She had reported the incident to him the very next morning, which was how he knew.
He simply hadn't ever mentioned it to Cynthia.
Mathis shot Payton a cold glare. "You'd better not get any ideas about Bianca. She's my wife, and I don't want to hear another word about the past. Don't force me to kick you out of your own family's company—you know exactly what I'm capable of."
Dawnstar Capital held shares and board seats in the Mills Group. If Mathis wanted to, he could easily pull strings to ruin Payton.
Payton looked thoroughly embarrassed. He didn't even like Bianca; in fact, he had always loathed her.
Other women threw themselves at him, but Bianca was always ice-cold.
In the past, she used to look at him like he was trash, and she had eventually blocked his number altogether.
Yet, she was perfectly nice to Simon, always politely calling him Dr. Jennings and even smiling at him occasionally.
Payton had never been rejected by a woman in his life, and Bianca's complete disregard bruised his ego.
"Don't worry, I wouldn't touch Bianca if you paid me."
Mathis scoffed. "You mean she wouldn't touch you, and it makes you feel like a clown. I was her first love. Why would she ever look twice at you?"
As for why she had chosen a guy like Milo, Mathis couldn't comprehend it either.
Even Simon was better than Milo.
Though, if she had chosen Simon, it would have hurt Mathis even more.
Mathis had hit the nail on the head, which only made Payton hate Bianca more.
Tonight, Payton resolved to make sure she was discarded by Mathis once and for all, turning her into someone completely insignificant.
A dark glint flashed in Payton's eyes, but Mathis wasn't looking at him and failed to notice.
As they chatted, a luxurious yacht sat quietly moored at the waterfront. The rest of the guests had already arrived and were waiting for Mathis.
Corbin walked over with Ingrid. Seeing no woman by Mathis's side, they exchanged a knowing smile.
Both assumed Bianca hadn't forgiven Mathis, and they collectively breathed a sigh of relief.
