Summary for Chapter 366: The Transactional Marriage That Imploded

Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 366 by Ansel Bick

Sniffling and on the verge of tears, she sobbed, "Matty, how could you marry a woman with no class?"

"Shut up, Rhea," Mathis snapped furiously.

A single tear hung precariously on Rhea's lashes. Using her big, beautiful eyes, she looked at Mathis with profound sorrow.

Displeasure washed over Mathis's face.

Bianca waved a hand in front of her nose. "The sheer pick-me energy in the air is suffocating. You could bottle that desperation and sell it."

The color drained from Ethan and Rhea's faces. Rhea was so furious her nose practically went crooked, and she whined, ready to complain to Mathis.

Having no patience for the fake sweetness, Bianca turned to Mathis. "Did you tell her to call you that?"

"No." Mathis turned to Rhea with a serious expression. "I've told you a million times not to call me that. See? You've upset my wife."

Hearing this, Rhea maintained her tearful, wronged expression, her eyes red rimmed.

She looked as if she had suffered the greatest injustice in the world. Ingrid rolled her eyes hard and muttered to Corbin, "Why is your brother always surrounded by these kinds of women?"

Corbin mentioned that Rhea had loved hovering around Mathis since they were kids, and had only recently returned to the country after finishing a project with her professor.

Otherwise, back when Cynthia was still around, the two women definitely would have torn each other apart.

Aveline immediately backed up her father, pointing a little finger at her cheek to mock Rhea. "Shame on you, crying when you're the one who made a mistake! My mommy didn't even cry, so why are you crying?

"Are you trying to steal my daddy? My daddy doesn't even like you. Shame on you."

Everyone present—except Ethan—let out an unkind chuckle.

The roaring laughter sent Rhea running off in tears.

Theodore looked at Ethan in displeasure. "Your daughter has absolutely no manners. Teach her better at home before you bring her out again, so you don't embarrass yourself."

Looking utterly humiliated, Ethan apologized to the old man and ordered his people to go after Rhea.

Theodore had Bianca sit to his right, forcing even Mathis to take a seat further down.

Walter was quite satisfied with the seating arrangement. "Old Jagger, you're finally giving our Bianca the respect she deserves."

Theodore hadn't scolded Mathis today. In a setting like this, the Jagger family still had to keep up appearances.

"Old Adler, what are you saying? I've always valued Bianca. She's young and successful. My three useless grandsons put together couldn't hold a candle to her. I could ignore anyone else, but I would never ignore her."

The shrewd business moguls in the room caught the implication. Theodore was actively building Bianca up, and catching on, everyone immediately utilized their lifelong skills in flattery to shower Bianca with praise.
