Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 370 by Ansel Bick
Looking utterly devastated, he muttered, "She doesn't want me anymore. What's the point of trying so hard?"
Chase had no idea who the "she" Milo was talking about was, but he thought Milo was acting completely irrational.
Gathering his courage, he snatched the glass from Milo's hand. "Mr. Wilder, pull yourself together! You aren't just one person right now.
"You're a CEO. You have responsibilities.
"If you give up and the company goes under, what happens to all the guys who busted their asses alongside you?"
Milo was already drowning in a tidal wave of grief. Unable to think about anything else, he just wanted to numb his shattered heart with alcohol.
He slurred, "Don't worry. If the company goes under, I'll pay out every cent of everyone's severance."
Chase was at his wit's end. He couldn't handle this. How could a rich kid just abandon his career over a breakup?
It was true what they said—wealthy families bred hopeless romantics. Without the pressure of putting food on the table, all they cared about was romance.
But Chase couldn't afford to let him spiral. The company was his life's work, and the new game was like his own child.
His entire family's livelihood depended on this, and he wasn't going to let Milo ruin it.
Throwing caution to the wind, Chase ordered Milo's bodyguards to drag him out, but they refused to listen to him.
Pacing anxiously, Chase had no choice but to call Ingrid to come talk sense into him.
Fortunately, Ingrid managed to order the bodyguards to forcefully take Milo home.
Seeing his son looking so lifeless and hollow, Marcus sighed. "Did Bianca dump you?"
Unable to hold it in any longer, Milo wrapped his arms around his father and sobbed.
Karis had never seen her son this heartbroken and wiped away tears of her own.
That woman Bianca was truly a curse on her son's life. She already had a husband and a child, yet she still came sniffing around him.
And after stringing him along, she didn't even treat him right, hurting him this badly instead.
Meanwhile, in Kingsbridge City, Jax arrived at the hospital, touched base with Dr. Mills, and then tried calling Milo back, only to find his phone turned off.
Jax had no choice but to text him: [Bianca was triggered by someone and passed out. She's in the hospital. Her depression is really severe right now. Come see her when you have time.]
The next morning, Milo woke up with a massive hangover. When he plugged his phone in and turned it on, he froze.
He immediately called Jax to ask what was going on.
"Mathis called and asked me to come to the hospital to take care of her," Jax explained. "He said Bianca starts crying the second she sees him, so he's staying away until she gets better."
Despite his splitting headache, the wave of information forced Milo's brain to clear up. So his agonizing heartbreak last night had all been a misunderstanding.
He closed his eyes heavily. Exactly. She hated Mathis so much; how could she ever reconcile with him?
