Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 58 by Ansel Bick

Bianca had lost a noticeable amount of weight recently. Everyone in the office could see it, except for the one man who was legally her husband.

"I know," Bianca replied warmly. "I won't neglect my health."

Even with the two biggest headaches in her life breathing down her neck, looking at her project's progress bar filled her with relentless drive.

By dinnertime, the office had mostly cleared out.

Xanthe had called her housekeeper ahead of time to prep the ingredients, so she just had to do a quick stir-fry when she got home.

When Cillian arrived, he noticed Bianca was still glued to her screen, her blue-light glasses perched on her nose. "Why haven't you gone to the cafeteria? You can't just skip meals to work."

Just then, Mathis and Cynthia walked past. Mathis subtly slowed his pace.

Bianca looked up from her monitor and gave Cillian a brilliant, tension-melting smile. "Xanthe promised to drop off dinner for me. She said she packed enough for you, too."

Cillian had never had Xanthe's cooking. With her delicate, ethereal vibe, he always assumed she'd be terrible in the kitchen.

"Are you sure we're not both going to starve tonight?"

Cynthia let out a sharp, mocking laugh. "Why are you two acting out some tragic struggle in here? Don't you know how to go out to a decent restaurant? If you're that broke, I'll just have Mathis pay for it."

Bianca rolled her eyes aggressively. "I'm not as desperately bored as you are."

She shot a cold glance at Mathis, who stood next to Cynthia with an expressionless face, and added with a satisfied smirk, "A woman begging for a man's attention is just pathetic."

Bianca was starving. The cafeteria food at lunch had been inedible, and delivery options were unappetizing.

She opened the container Xanthe brought, took a few aggressive bites, and finally answered.

"Hector had the lawsuit ready to file. But Mathis told me if I went through with it, he'd destroy Stellaride Computing. Hector checked his moves—Mathis is already setting up a hostile takeover, and he absolutely has the resources to pull it off."

Bianca's eyes grew serious. "Cillian, Stellaride isn't just your baby; it's mine, too. I refuse to let my disastrous marriage ruin our hard work.

And don't worry about me. You heard how desperate Cynthia is to secure her spot. She's definitely plotting a way to force his hand. I just need to sit back and wait."

Cillian was so infuriated he completely lost his appetite. "How can one man be this vile?"
