Read The Transactional Marriage That Imploded novel Bianca and Mathis Chapter 91 by Ansel Bick
Milo Wilder was happily surfing the internet, absolutely thrilled by the massive influx of traffic. As far as he was concerned, he and Bianca Baldwin were a match made in heaven.
Even the general public was shipping them now. He could easily ride this wave of publicity for his game launch tomorrow.
Maybe then his dad would finally stop breathing down his neck about wasting time on a startup.
"I swear I didn't orchestrate this. Traffic this high means the public has genuinely latched onto it," Milo explained over the phone.
Bianca finally voiced the question that had been nagging at her. "Mathis Jagger is a master at manipulating public opinion. Do you really think he'll let this slide?"
Milo immediately picked up on the underlying implication, his tone teasing. "So you're not planning on issuing a clarification? Are we officially going public with our romance?"
"Those are two completely different things."
Bianca just wanted to see exactly how far Mathis would go to suppress the rumors. A plan was slowly forming in her mind.
Over at the Jagger Estate in Kingsbridge City, Harriet was fully immersed in the online drama.
She stared at her phone screen, a delighted smirk on her face, and turned to her assistant. "No wonder Mathis didn't care about his own cheating scandal. Turns out they're both playing the field. Tell our people to add fuel to the fire. Leak the truth about their marital status. Let's see how the Quinns justify being in bed with Mathis after this."
A shrewd glint flashed in the old woman's eyes. "If Mathis's infidelity is confirmed, Dawnstar Capital's stock will absolutely plummet tomorrow. Get ready to buy the dip in the afternoon."
Buying the dip was exactly how Mathis had seized control of Dawnstar in the first place. He had engineered a scandal, tanked the stock to create a market panic, and then aggressively bought up shares at rock bottom to become the majority shareholder.
Where he had gotten the initial capital for that move remained a mystery to this day.
Hadrian Jagger and Evita were also frantically scrolling through the trending topics about Bianca. They tried everything to suppress the coverage, but their efforts were useless.
Zane handed the tablet over. Mathis quickly scanned the trending topics, his long fingers impatiently tugging at his tie. "She never misses a chance to cause trouble for me," he muttered darkly.
He tossed the tablet back to Zane and dialed a number, his voice dripping with icy fury. "I want every single mention of Bianca Baldwin and Milo Wilder scrubbed from the internet within the hour. I don't care how much it costs. Have Stellaride Computing issue a statement clarifying their relationship is strictly professional. If anyone tries to stir up drama, delete their comments immediately."
The man on the other end hesitated. "I can't guarantee a complete blackout, sir."
Mathis's tone dropped to a chilling decibel. "If you can't get it done, consider our contract terminated."
The man scrambled to comply. "Understood, Mr. Jagger. It'll be handled."
An hour later, every trace of Bianca and Milo had vanished from the internet, perfectly timed with an official clarification from Stellaride's headquarters.
