The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 134

Tristan chimed in, "We hit some traffic. Sorry we're late."

Evelyn smiled radiantly. "There has to be room for us, right? Or do we sit on the floor?"

The crowd reeled in shock again: ??? They were willing to sit on the floor just to celebrate Juno's birthday?

Damn, exactly what kind of status did Juno hold?

Wasn't she supposed to be from some rural town?

What kind of small-town girl knew these terrifyingly powerful people?

They originally thought Juno came back to mooch off the Corrington family's glory. Looking at it now, it was glaringly obvious that the Corringtons had struck gold by finding her.

These were people with immense weight on the global stage.

Juno's mouth twitched. They were putting on a perfectly choreographed show.

She shot Morgan a look. "Find a seat yourselves."

Morgan's smile was flawless, utterly beyond reproach. "Understood."

The crowd: ???

And just like that, the group squeezed into the table right next to Mrs. Sherwood.

A young girl at the table almost passed out from pure bliss. Evelyn's aura was too powerful, and Tristan was so devastatingly handsome!~

Morgan sat right next to Mrs. Sherwood.

Mrs. Sherwood's hearing was perfectly fine. She had just heard someone mention Morgan was the head of Apex Entertainment.

She remembered how all of the Sherwood family's businesses had been failing recently, with everyone kicking them while they were down. Then suddenly, Apex Entertainment and its affiliates had swooped in, unapologetically propping up the Sherwoods.

It had baffled her to no end, as the Sherwoods had zero ties to Apex Entertainment.

Now that the man himself was sitting right next to her, she had to ask.

Mrs. Sherwood phrased it delicately. "Sir, are you with Apex Entertainment?"

Morgan lacked all of his usual domineering edge right now. Gentle as a breeze, he didn't put on any airs with her. "Yes, I'm the primary decision-maker for Apex Entertainment."

Mrs. Sherwood hesitated, unsure of how to proceed.

Claire offered a rare, biting sneer. "You brought this on yourself."

"You!" Rhiannon's face twisted in rage.

Babur munched on sunflower seeds, looking back and forth between the tables, taking in everyone's drastically shifting expressions.

The arrival of the Blackwood City tycoons had drawn the attention of almost everyone in the room, making them the absolute center of gravity.

Several people approached them, trying to call in favors or pitch deals. Their response was uniformly robotic: "We listen to Ms. Mercer."

Holy hell, it was absolute domination.

Babur was practically vibrating with excitement. He sidled up to his sister with a wicked grin. "Not bad, Juno. Way to keep a low profile~"

She was completely wiping the floor with the other side. Especially Rhiannon's.

Jeremy Jagger walked over at some point as well. "Impressive, Juno~ You've really made me look at you in a new light."

"Hmph. Just playing dress-up with smoke and mirrors."

They all turned around to see Rhiannon supporting Matilda. The old woman's face was etched with sheer disdain.
