The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 168

Faye had just presented these exact same research metrics. Why was Juno confidently proceeding with them?

On stage, Juno wasn't panicked in the slightest. She stood as comfortably as if she were in her own living room, elegantly clicking through her slides. Her French was so sophisticated and natural that everyone assumed she had spent her entire life studying in Paris.

Her performance was utterly breathtaking. From her articulate delivery to her commanding posture, she radiated the aura of an untouchable CEO.

She was effortlessly relaxed, yet razor-sharp and precise.

It became painfully obvious that the exact same dataset could sound entirely different depending on the presenter.

Juno used to run these kinds of high-level analytical debriefs almost weekly back in Blackwood City.

The Obsidian Court hadn't climbed to the pinnacle of power through sheer luck or accident.

Its absolute dominance was the result of Juno’s meticulous, brilliant, and ruthless strategy.

The audience, thrilled to hear a presentation in French for once, immediately perked up. Listening to her perfect pronunciation was an absolute joy.

Unlike the previous speakers who merely skimmed the surface, Juno dove deep into complex strategic analysis, dropping heavy industry insights that were way above the standard university level.

The elite students of Northbridge University could easily understand the translation, but none of them had dared to present in French before because the risk of fumbling was simply too high.

From start to finish, every single word she spoke was nothing short of brilliant.

It wasn't until Juno gave a subtle, polite nod to signal the end of her speech that the hundreds of people in the auditorium—including the judges—finally snapped out of their trance.

An instant later, the room exploded into deafening applause.

It was spectacular.

Juno had never wanted to participate in these campus events, not because she was a snob, but because she simply wasn't playing on the same level as these kids.

She operated in a stratosphere no one here could even comprehend. To her, this competition felt like watching toddlers play dress-up.

It was, quite frankly, a complete waste of her time.

Normal university students used these events to build their resumes and gain experience. Juno didn't need any of that.

Gwendolyn clapped so hard her hands hurt, her eyes shining with unshed tears of immense pride.

That was her daughter!

So radiant, so utterly brilliant!

With Juno setting the bar impossibly high, the remaining speeches felt completely lackluster.

Even after the final contestant stepped down, the judges were still feverishly discussing Juno’s presentation.

"Her poise was far beyond that of a mere student," one professor whispered.

"Exactly. She spoke like a seasoned corporate titan who has dominated the boardroom for decades."

"Well, let's finalize the scores."

"Faye’s foundational draft was nearly identical to Juno’s. I heavily suspect Faye of plagiarism. We need to launch an immediate investigation."

It wasn't just plagiarism; Faye had straight-up stolen it.

The final results would be posted in a week.

Faye practically sprinted out of the auditorium in a panic.

When Juno and Claire finally exited the building, Faye ambushed them on the steps. "You set me up, didn't you, Juno?! You knew I was going to use your draft, so you intentionally laid a trap to humiliate me today!"

Juno easily shoved her away, looking at her with cold, unfiltered disdain. "Set you up? You really think you're worth the effort?"
