"Yes."
She was going to exploit Balfour's deep affection for Sylvie to get what she needed.
Since Juno had made her decision, Morgan immediately went to handle the logistics.
Everything had to be perfectly orchestrated without a single flaw.
Juno walked into Chuck's hospital room. "I won't let anything happen to you."
Unconscious and unresponsive, Chuck couldn't hear a word. His lips were completely devoid of color, and he remained perfectly still.
Standing outside the window, Kian genuinely couldn't understand it.
"Has your boss always been this close to her?"
Miles sat heavily on the hallway bench. "Yeah."
Kian walked over and took a seat. Just as he sat down, Miles added, "At an age when they were completely powerless against the world, Chuck traded his own life to protect hers."
Ever since that day, Juno had only two goals in life: becoming infinitely stronger, and Chuck Yates.
It was a bond Kian couldn't fully comprehend.
Juno arranged for round-the-clock care for Chuck, informed her family of her sudden departure, and took a red-eye flight directly to Jindale City.
An hour later, the plane touched down smoothly.
The operatives stationed in Jindale City knew she and Morgan were arriving and had already secured the airport.
Since it was a covert operation, they couldn't make a massive spectacle.
But the necessary protocols and respect were strictly upheld.
Juno and Morgan disembarked.
"Are we making the move tonight?" Morgan asked.
"Yes."
Under the cover of night, it was the perfect time to strike.
The city darkened, with only faint, scattered stars barely illuminating the sky above.
It was a woman dressed entirely in black. A dark baseball cap was pulled low over her eyes, and a black medical mask completely concealed her face.
Even in the dim lighting, Sylvie could tell this woman had a stunningly luminous complexion.
Her figure was striking, possessing perfect, athletic proportions.
Sylvie didn't want to stare too blatantly and nervously gripped her backpack straps. "I'm so sorry for the trouble. Thank you for coming all this way."
Juno remained silent. Sylvie glanced at the surrounding shadows, a faint sense of unease creeping in.
"Excuse me, could I see your face for a moment?" Sylvie asked timidly, her voice soft and polite. "I know it's a rude request, but..."
Before she could finish, Juno's slightly raspy voice cut through the silence. "Sure."
Hearing the easy agreement, Sylvie let out a breath of relief.
She was glad the stranger hadn't taken offense.
The woman in front of her slowly reached up and pulled down her mask, revealing a face that was completely identical to her own.
Sylvie's eyes widened in sheer terror. Her survival instincts screamed, and she instantly spun around to run!
