The True Heiress: Legend Mode novel Chapter 207

Lucia stepped forward, ruthlessly gripping his jaw and forcing his mouth open. With brutal efficiency, she poured every last drop of the clear liquid down Lorcan's throat.

"Gah!"

Lorcan gagged, trying to throw it back up, but Lucia swiftly dislocated his jaw.

He couldn't even form coherent words.

Juno remained entirely unsympathetic. "While your stomach digests that, you have plenty of time to decide if you want to talk."

Lucia popped his jaw back into place.

Lorcan roared furiously, "What did you just feed me?!"

Juno didn't spell it out. "You're a smart man. Can't you guess?"

It wasn't actually H315, just a compound with similar immediate sensations.

She was playing psychological warfare with him.

It was simply a matter of who would break first.

Lorcan's heart skipped a beat. Was it really H315?

Impossible. No one could get their hands on that formula.

"Heh, you think a cheap trick like this will fool me? Only the Yates family has access to this toxin! You could never get it! Don't even try to bluff an antidote out of me!"

Juno was losing her patience. She refused to waste any more time on him. Chuck's condition was entirely unstable, and she wasn't in the mood for games.

"Until your symptoms show up, you won't be leaving the Obsidian Court. You can just sit here and wait to die right alongside Chuck."

With that, she abruptly severed the connection.

Lorcan was stunned.

What did she mean, wait to die alongside Chuck?!

He refused to die for someone as worthless as Chuck!!!

Staring at the blank screen, Juno felt a rare sense of uncertainty. If Lorcan genuinely believed he could bluff his way out of the Obsidian Court, he really might keep his mouth shut.

Minutes dragged on, and there was still no word from Lucia.

Juno's anxiety spiked.

She looked at Morgan. "Did I make a mistake?"

Morgan shook his head. "Lucia will break him. Lorcan is a coward who values his own life above everything. He will talk."

But making this move had completely exposed her identity to him.

Finally, two agonizing hours later, Lucia called Morgan.

Morgan put her on speakerphone. "The H315 was purchased from a research facility in Jindale City. The seller is Balfour Lytton. Because he signed an exclusive contract with Lorcan, the Yates family bought the absolute monopoly on the antidote.

Identical in every single way.

It was practically a copy-and-paste of Juno's own face.

If it weren't for the completely different aura and gaze, it would be physically impossible to tell them apart.

Sylvie Sloane looked pure and untainted, clearly a girl who had grown up completely sheltered from the harsh realities of the world.

Juno, on the other hand, had a sharp, dangerous edge to her features, radiating a lethal intensity.

They shared the exact same face, but their lives had clearly shaped them into polar opposites.

Juno swiped to the next page.

Sylvie Sloane, eighteen years old, struggling to survive in the heavily patriarchal Sloane family. She was Balfour Lytton's childhood sweetheart.

It was his only weakness.

And it was more than enough.

Juno closed the file, needing to see nothing more.

In that exact moment, she formulated her entire plan.

Morgan spoke up. "You're going to Jindale City."
